Need help wih project car

hi to all readers,,,

Well I want to rebuild a car ..though i am new t it..I have always liked the cusotm paint and interiors. So, I was looking for cars but could nt find a coupe' in any model. So i have come up with the idea to settle with Datsun 120y sedan 1070's model the round type or a Toyota corona Mark II 1973 model or x12 one. My budget for the car is 50k.

I need a car that can run easily at speeds of 130 or 140 km/hr. with nice decent pick to match and maybe outclass and out run CIVIC and Xli or GLi, and interior and ride as comfortable and luxurious as the new sedans.

I am not the guy who is into racing I just want nice looks of muscle car and decent engine , I will also install CNG in it so i can use it daily (economical).

I need information on one thing that are Leaf spring suspension more comfortabel or coil springs are more comfortable?

can we convert leaf spring suspension in datsun 120y to coil springs and how much it will cost?

Will Toyota Corona MArk II outrun Xli or Gli with A4ge 16v or 20v silvertop 1600 CC ?

what engine will do it?

And lAstly any other sugestions for easily available cars as project..

toyota markII with 2z-gte it will outrun any car! and datsun 120y is a good car and only one i have seen in peshawar about 5 yrs ago which is modified but mark II will be alla there are alot of mark II modified go through threads u'll get alot of help!

thanks for the advice but bro I will not have the affordability to fuel the 2z-gte engine.well as i will keep my car on cng for normal use and for fun on weekends i will use petrol so for me 1.6l engien is max or maybe 1.8l

but with cng too i wanna outrun xli or gli so what engine swap you suggest for Datsun 120y, In Rawalpindi there are many of them as of Mark II 4 door its nice but affordability of fuel wont let me rebuild it.

yes dude very true! but i think 120y with 1.6 will give performance with my budget compared to mark II with 2,5l engine

Guys can u tell me about the suspension thing... now datsun 120y and many other cars of 1970's have leaf springs but as of my knowledge i think coil spring are better..so is it possibel to convert the leaf springs of ths datsun 120y to coil springs nad also if possible plz provide the details and cost involved also how can i lower the ride i mean i just want the distance between the car body and tyres to be very minimal.

hello .... well my advice to u is dat bro first buy complete engine ... all the things .. complete ur full setup .. dan go for denting .. and painting put ur engine in mark2 or 12ka4 y ... lolz

about preformance and eco ... so if u r daily runner go for eco side .. but if u want real musle .. so i think musle word clear everything ...

i m a daily runner ... but i m working on monster ... chk my DIY project ... ab its my luck or my pay bad luck lolzzz ...

thanks for the advice.well then i think i will have to go with 120y with 1.6 or 1.8 engine that will make it a monster i think..

well my real question is not yet answered as to how can i converts leaf springs (kamani syste ) to coil springs and whats better and whats the cost involved.

the original engine that comes in datsun 120y is a12 well there is an engine a15 of datsun it is a reali powerfull engine and it will not cost u more than 15k as ur budget is not that much and ur talking about tha 4ages as ma opinion a15 will work for u it easily goes to 140kmph its a 1500cc well best of luck

I am having Toyota Mark 2 1973 model from last 15 Years, Its my Fav Car..... Recently i have installed a 3sfe 2000 CC Petrol engine modified on Carborator... Installed CNG on it.... Its CNG AVG is same as Xli have Almost ( may be 10 Km Difference on Hole tank)... its realy a Muscle Car its RIDE is WOW.... Its can easly out run any car.... money matterz here lolzzz .. any means xli and civic liana baleeno and vitz etc... but i have tested it... it can burn Tirezzz.. Pick up itzz mind blowing and FUEL AVG ALSO ( 4/5 Km Per Litre) :D....
I Prefer to use CNG for economey.... my Advice if u didnt have your own FILLING STATION go and buy some eco CAR not a musle one ... other wise u will be in tenssion... i have 2 more cars so i didnt have any problum about economy...

and what kind or year is it?
is it the old carborator one?
