i dont know u have heard about it or not but theres this guy who has a white ALTO and hes racing with 1.8 cars.. i heard from somewhere that he has the same TOYOTA engine in it.. any idea on it ?
and about its price too.???
@Dagabaaz
sorry for the late reply
your first question Sir.
Q: hey that engine u mentioned TOYOTA 4E -FTE 1.3 doch... is it easy to fit that one in santro hood ?
In one word NO , the engine bay of your santro cannot accomodate a Toyota 1.3 turbo power plant not that its impossible but your chassis rails and engine bay firewall will have to be "chopped". and all that cutting will surely decrease your structural integrity, so an engine swap is not advisable because there is a whole bunch of other problems than engine placement for example driveshaft placement , motor mounts, pulley clearance, sump clearance etc and the most important factor while installing big engines in small cars is braking.

hmmm i haven't exactly looked under his hood but I can tell you exactly that which engine that alto has , first of all its not the TOYOTA 4E-FTE 1.3 DOHC Turbo , it can be either one of these two, a JDM{japanese domestic market} Suzuki Swift GTi G13B (1.3 DOHC non-turbo) or a JDM "Baleno" G15a (1.5 SOHC{Single OverHead Cam} engine and why is he making mince meat of 1.8's is all down to the power to weight ratio basically explained by modifying the Law of linear momentum
(p=mv)
objects that are lighter in weigh less {have less mass} are more easily accelerated or decellerated relative to heavier objects that have the same amount of force applied to them.
so that alto weighing less can accelerate alot faster off the line than a relatively heavier 1.8
a powerful engine in a super light chassis has always been motorsport's biggest weapon.
Q;and about its price too.???
depends on where you buy it. Prices vary from one city to another.
to conclude all this your best bet would be to leave the poor santro alone and buy something that can be easily worked with.
Thank you.
