Hello to all Pakwhellers.

I am going to buying Karachi number Honda City in Islamabad. Now I want to transfer the Karachi Number in Islamabad/Rawalpindi in legal way that is no use of agents and other illegal ways.

Please expert advice Is it possible to transfer Karachi no. car in Islamabad/Rawalpindi in Legal way.????????

If my memory serves me right then vehicles don't get transferred like they used to be...i mean your car registration number will stay the same *KARACHI NUMBER and it will only get registered in the books isl . NO ISL registration number will be allotted. Go to your nearest Vehicle registration office with registration papers and your proof of purchase along with the copies of previous owner's NIC. Transfer fees is nearly 3000rs i think.

I have heard from a friend that there is a desk for sindh # vehicles in rwp/isb to transfer the vehicle on your name. (dont expect they will issue u new local #)

Thanks for replying. For your information I just want to change the ownership of car to mine of Karachi No. car in ISLAMABAD not changing the VIN to islamabad.

Any one known for this process in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi

Transfer of vehicle from one owner to another can only be done from the Excise dept where the vehicle was initially registered.
