Hello everyone,
I am looking for a car under 15 lac, that is easy and cheap to drive and maintain.
Currently i have Cultus in mind, any suggestion is highly appreciated.

A 1992 to 1998 corolla would be nice.
It has a diggi, awesome resale, and If well maintained, will be very reliable. Keep a few Lacs in your pocket when buying it because it will require some work and general maintenance.
But fuel average...
Hmm that's odd manual ones give good mileage.
Corolla Xli 2003/4 model falls under your budget. Give it a look. Find a clean one. It is quite easy to maintain and gives good fuel economy of upto 15 in the city if driven with a light foot. Can achieve upto 20 on motorways if driven at 90 km per hour.
Cultus, Hyundai Santro, Indus Corolla, Lancer, etc. many options are there.
If you like hatch back then Cultus, santro are good option.
How is the parts availability of Santro? Am trying to get a somewhat newer car.
The problem with the diggi car is fuel average, they usually provide upto 12 km/l, where is hatchback like cultus go up to 15 km/l.
Yeah 12kmpl is what I had in mind too. I guess cultus is good then.
