No issues of security. If you want to do BBQ then certainly u can't visit many places as travel time ismuch more from Lahore. U can cover these places easily in a single day if u leave Lahore by 4 AM..
1) Kanhatti Gardens & Waterfall
2) Khabeki Lake
3) Uchali Lake
4) Dip Sharif Ponds
Take motorway.. exit from Lillah interchange.. after exiting take road going to ur right towards Katha Saghral/Khushab. At Katha Saghral, the road to left will go to Khushab while the road to right will go towards Soon valley. After taking the right side road from Katha Saghral, u will first cross a mountain pass which is quite beautiful.. after mountain pass is finished, u will reach a chowk named Pail chowk which can be identified by a Markhor/Ibex sculpture. From Pail chowk, take left.. and go ahead until u reach a point from where a road towards ur right goes to Kanhatti Gardens (this point is marked by sign boards so u can get to it easily). The Kanhatti gardens road is quite thin and sunsaan but no issue of security.. enjoy this place and come back to main road.. and continue ahead u will hit Khabeki Lake on same road.. (Make sure not to enter Khabeki lake from starting point.. go upside on main road and then descend towards the lake from vantage point (where old TDCP resort is also present). After visiting Khabeki lake, move ahead on same road until u reach Naushera city chowk.. Take a right from there and then this road road will take u directly to Uchali Lake (this road is underconstruction and some parts are in bad condition so it might take more time). While coming back from Uchali to Naushera, a board on ur right will say Dargah Dip Sharif.. take that road on ur right until u reach a masjid.. park ur car there and hike for 10 mins to reach Dip Sharif ponds. After visiting.. trace ur route back till Pail chowk.. now u will have option to go back to motorway via Lillah interchange.. or u can go to opposite side road from Pail chowk which will go directly to Kallar Kahar and then u can take motorway from there.
Anything else, feel free to ask me.
