Need recommendation for Cuore AC Compressor

Hello,

I have Cuore 2007. Its genuine compressor has malfunctioned.

One mechanic has recommended terrious kid compressor while other has recommended mitsubishi compressor.

I am novice and need recommendation from experienced people in terms of cooling, fuel efficiency and engine load.

I am from Karachi. I have got it checked from Arif A/C wala at mukka chowk as per him Mitsubishi compressor is best. Cost estimate I have got for Mitsubishi is 11500 for complete work.

Other A/C guy on same street has suggested to go with Terrious Kid compressor. Cost estimate he has given is 17000 and as per him condenser also needs to be changed.

buy its own compressor, its best and fits perfectly, you also wont need to make new liquid and suction lines either.

If your old one shot metal into the condenser, throw away the condenser and install new one when being repaired.

Back in 2011, I replaced mine with duet, It was good experience, it didn't put load on engine and cooling was good too.

and why not use its own compressor? too expensive? no profit for shop?

Sir in my case it was not easily available and technician were demanding too much, I don't exactly remember the price. so best option was for duet..Otherwise I agree, genuine is always best option.

As per technician, original cuore compressor will not work in high temperature of Karachi. To release load it will release the gas and cooling will go down again and again.

1 technician says that compressor is fine but due to warn weather it will not work and you have to change it.

Current compressor and all fittings are original.

I would recommend you Duet compressor for Dihatsu cuore as i have been using it and it is working perfectly fine for me

wah - subhanAllah logic.. Im speechless after this.

So the size of the heat exchangers doesnt matter, the thermal efficiency doesnt matter, the type of condenser or evaporator doesnt matter or the TXV device, all that matters is "compressor"

wah, Im speechless on this heightened, elevated, God level, infact Titan level logic...

Can I hire this guy? - I will give him two useless heat exchangers, an equally useless TXV - and he should be able to get meat chiller cooling from a duet compressor run from a suzuki two stroke pickup engine.

I got my AC work done from Murshid Car AC near Khalid Bin Waleed Road.

• Terrious Kid Compressor

• New pipelines (Heating and Cooling) - Don't know what is actual name for these

• New Dryer/Receiver

• Foam insulation behind dashboard

• Replaced coil with kabli

• Blower and Heater wash and service

• Foam insulation between condenser and radiator

Total cost: Rs. 25000

A/C seems to work fine so far. Considerably good cooling on back seats too.

The actual issue of Daihatsu Cuore AC is using R12 compatible Condensor and evaporator coil with an R134a compressor. This setup will always result in below-average cooling. R134a refrigerant requires a very thin line condenser and evaporator coil for optimal cooling as it's a hard-to-cool down gas. For best results, use a duet compressor, multi-flow aluminum condenser with a thin line evaporator coil and then compare your AC performance with Toyota and Honda. The setup will require alteration with genuine fittings but the results will be worth it.
