Greetings and Assalam o Alaikum
I recently bought a Corolla 2005 CE120 used, which was originally driven as a taxi
Car is in white color and the body is in good condition, according to previous owner, he recently had work done on its engine 3~4 months ago
Car's engine isn't bad(as little as I know) and body is good with touchup but apart from it, it needs a lot of work
I was told by electrician
1) it doesn't have reverse switch, the reverse lights won't turn on and back camera doesn't budge either, how much would it cost?
2) its thermostat valve switch has been removed, ( i was told they do that after working on engine so it won't over heat) so the radiator fan is not on auto and having no thermostat valve heater wont work either (when is it best to switch the fan to auto? And how much thermostat valve would cost me?)
3) The clutch cylinder was bought used by previous owner and its not of 2.0D its of some other car having a separate bottle of its own, should it be replaced?, according to previous owner it leaked oil in driver side floor he had it changed to this cylinder of some other car
4) The car's clutch is also stiff along with gear (tiresome to drive honestly), I was told that it may need clutch plates and gear oil and maybe work done on gears given 3rd gear shifting makes a slight sound, how much would this work cost me? And what's the best approach as a solution
5) when car is parked at home there's a oil leak below engine, size of it usually is equal to the diameter of average tea mug
6) where can I find cheap door panels with power windows of 2.0D Saloon or Corolla X given this was simple 2.0D how much would addons like power windows, retractable and adjustable side mirrors and central locking system cost me preferably JDM quality
Also I'd like to ask 2.0D owners to leave me a few tips regarding maintenance of the car, e.g which viscosity oil to use, which oil is best, when to swap the air filter what to do to keep engine at best and infact improve it further
All sort of help if much appreciated thanks y'all in advance
