Need Route guidance for a trip to Gilgit, hunza, Astore and chilum

Right after Ramazan, I am planing a trip (with family) to gilgit and hunza and then on return i intend to go to astore and chilum .. I live in abbottabad ,, need guidance from recent travellers ;

• which route is better ;
  mansehra-kaghan-naran-babusar-chillas-gilgit
  mansehra - besham - pattan - chilas - gilgit
• security and road conditions on both routes and approx travelling time
• how far i can go on a car (civic 2013) from jaglot on route astore - gorikot - chilum

salam. the babusar route is better as the road in kohistan area has continous bad patches.
Security conditions are all good. Through babusar you can reach in around 14 hrs if u maintain good speeds . The rent a car services they even reach in 11 hrs. through KKH it takes around 18-20 hrs.
Car can reach till rama but the road is not good

U can hit skardu via deosai on a sedan or any car..
but not recommended. Streams can overflow any time. Road is not good as well..
so Make ur stop astore / rama. Road is reasonable till both these points.

On civic.. you can cross deosai to reach skardu via astore and chillum.
I have seen toyota passo honda city and corolla in deosai in 2015. Road is metalled till just few kms before sheosar lake. From chilum to that metalled road point is one of the most amazing roads.
Though few bad patches from astore to chilum.
But taking sedan to deosai plains and from there to skardu is not adviseable.
There is a huge stream ahead chilum chowki. Last time a corolla was stucked in that stream.

Actually I intend to go to minimerg instead of Dosai but that is by jeep from chillum so didnt ask for route ahead .. i have been to dosai in the past and skardu and surrounding areas .. i hope u have seen minimerg and neighbouring areas ? Domel, Lane Nullah, etc .. from these areas i intend to return to chillum and back

@Naweed Bro we planned for minimarg and booked a room through some contacts in army in 2015.. but when we reached chillum chowki we came to know that our dreams to visit minimarg, rainbow lake, Chota deosai, Domail etc got shattered because.. our booking got cancelled.. as some general of army landed there with family. And by the way.. these days its quite difficult to visit minimarg due to border situations.. may be conditions will get better..

If you have any contacts in army (higher rank is better option).. just ask them to do you a favor..
Its a jeep track you can park your ride in chillum chowki head quarters.. if allowed to travel on army's 4x4 vehicle or may be there are local jeeps available.. other option is.. if allowed.. you can park your car in astore and hire jeep

Many people here have been to minimarg.. im sure they'll guide you about routes and places in minimarg..

I have been to the area before but very long ago .. now want my kids to see it .. more than one room accommodation in minimerg and domel .. must have been some security alert for cancellation of your booking
