Assalmualikum Pakwheelers!
I've been thinking about converting my 2013 Vitz F into 2016 Vitz Rs. The idea has been lingering on my mind ever since I got the car back in 2015. I want to do a full conversion down to the nitty gritty. Now the car is in a good condition mechanically but has got quite a few dings everywhere around the body. The roof paint is also sun damaged and has a good layer of oxidation on it. But overall the car drives as good as a car that is well maintained. The car is the family car and does around 80 kms per day. Most of it being on ring road. Ne and my mother use the car as a daily driver. Now its done more than 170k on the odometer and the timing chain of the 1kr has started knocking. Moreover, the cars parts lare staring to give out. Like I had the alternator replaced last week. A quiet creaking sound is also observed from the rear suspension and the car is need of a general interior cleaning and restoration.
As I thought of getting the car fixed and upto my standards which is keeping a car as good as new, I thought of converting it into the vitz I dreamed of while we were getting this car. Now, Ive scoured the internet looking for a similar conversation or someone who could help me but I haven't had any luck in that. So I thought of falling back to the the trustworthy Pakwheelers and asking for their help.
What my requirements for the conversion; I dont want any jerryrigging (jugaard) with the car. I want most of the things to be bolt on and what I cant find in the local car markets ill try to get someone to buy some parts for me from anywhere ill find them and bring them with them. This can only be done for small parts that dont weigh alot. The rest, I would like it be fabricated as it would be in a sema level car (this is an exaggeration but I would like it to be top notch quality). I am willing to compromise on something that I cant find or do in Pakistan but that rope is very short.
I want to change the full suspension(Stock Vitz Rs Green one), Braking System(Front vent. discs and rear disks and the abs control), Engine(1nz-fe) with CVT transmission (7-speed), Interior Dash, Bucket Seats, Rear seats, Paddle Shifter Steering Wheel, Gear Shifter trim and knob, Door cards, Climate controls (to an automatic climate control), Rims(Vitz Rs Black ones idk the name),Head lights(Projections), Rear Lights(Vitz Rs), Front and Rear Bumpers, Under Body Sheets, Black Headliner and Interior trims, Radiator and Fan System, Instrument Cluster, Lights and Wiper Control Module,Fog lamps, Sport and other switches in the Vitz Rs, and Side Mirrors(Vitz Rs, They have some plastic canards type of thing). I might have missed quite a few parts.
I dont have a time constriction as I plan to keep the car for as long as I can. I am in Lahore and Id like for you all to suggest a good trustable and intellectual mechanic and electrician that have experience in the field. If someone can also provide me with an estimate of all the parts and a specific estimate for getting the car to basic working conditions (that include the engine, tranny, brakes, and other mechanics for the swap.) I want to make this car as oem or genuine as possible and it will be daily driven so I also NEED it ti be reliable.
I have alot of car knowledge about the mechanics but that is only what I could have gathered from the Internet and some practical maintenance. Ive got zero experience with projects but I do know when a Car and a Technician are worth their salt.
