Need some detail of changes in altis grande and abt facelift

Aoa fellows. I'm planning to buy altis 1.8 grande below 2.5 million rupees because as per my info Toyota will launch new Corolla in the end of 2020 so till that time I need a car. Right now I'm using 1.5 turbo civic and was my first honda, I personally don't like the car except throttle response. Now I want to buy altis 1.8 grande. I want to know that what were the changes made by Toyota IMC in altis grande from 2014 till now. Some rough thing that I know, 2016 grande got electric seats and digital climate control then 2017 got face lift. Plz tell me brief about the changes. I want to buy a car Bellow 2.5 million just to fill the gap of time until IMC launches the new model so tell me that how can I facelift that pre face lift car as under that budget only pre facelift will be the option. And do tell me about any other change that comes in the car.

There have been constant changes from 2024 onwards. Facelift came in 2017 August and after that only a couple minor changes were made. So if u want max features and new shape get 2017 onward,but since ur budget in less trh getting ,2016 one as it had climate control

Facelifting cannot be done completely as some changes likd vsc/trc/sport mode were beyong cosmetic ones.

lets see. 2014, basic
in 2016, imobilizer, rain sensing wipers, jack knife key, climate control
in facelift, further additions: new rims with low profile tires, added grip, traction control, vehicle stability control, better sound system, keyless entry, HID lights, DRLs. Thats about it
Facelifting a 2014 to a 2017 is a horrible idea, quite a few threads on that, no owner is satisfied with the results

True...Actually even lights cannot be fully upgraded due to sensors...avoid facelifting..changes were more more than Pakistan ever saw in a facelift.

I am sure 2014 also had rain sensing wipers. However, apart from the above mentioned features, an upgraded meter and meter swipe function were also added in 2016. In the facelift, there is reverse-link as well. Also, there are some changes in suspension as per Toyota's docs, in the facelift. As mentioned by the other members, facelifting a pre-facelift is not a good idea at all. It would be wiser to either be content with prefacelift, or buy a facelift model (which seems unlikely, given your budget). Also, the money you spend on facelifting a prefacelift is going to cost more than getting a facelift model IMO, so there's that too.

Yeah I guess rain sensors were there in 2014. ... facelift has stiffer suspension actually..feel more planted then before..so self modification is not possible.
