Need suggestion for Murree Trip

Hi , me and my family have planned to visit murree for 3 day's , we're planning to leave on wednesday 11th june .
Now my question is that we are 10 people including 6 adults 4 kids and and have a budget for transport of around 25k .

1. Should we go for daewoo or any other bus service , and does daewoo operate in muree ,if not than what is the procedure to go to murree from lahore to murree on bus ?
   2.Hiring our own hiace ?What are the rates ? Will it fit in the budget ? Including fuel cost ?
   3.Which one is safer, better option and why ?
   4.Anything that i should know while traveling in a bus or rented car ?

Please answer the question and any other suggestion is welcome .

1. I'm not sure if a direct Daewoo bus goes from Lahore to Murree. Several years back, they used hiace service between Rawalpindi and Murree. Don't know about current position. Other services like Niazi goes direct to Murree.
2. The newer comfortable Hiaces (Grand cabin) cost about 7000 without fuel so its 21k for 3 days. While the older models (diesel ones) can be hired for about 5000 per day so its 15k for 3 days. Fuel will cost about 15-16k. Now do the maths.
3. Both are safer but Hiace would be more comfortable and you will have the liberty to move around in Murree to go to different points. If you choose bus, you will also have to hire taxis or other means to go to points like Patriata, Nathiagali etc which is additional cost.
4. Nothing extraordinary.

P.s. Because of traffic management issues, the entrance of hiace is legally banned inside Murree but people still take it if they have jan pehchan. So only hire it if you have some sort of "sifarish" to take it inside Murree.

you must opt niazi type service for murree. after reaching murree leave it and start enjoying murree and its attractions which are accessible by foot like pindi point, kashmir point. rent a car ( say your hotel manager to hire one, for security purpose) and see patriata chair lift and kohala bridge at neelam river. you can see both in one day only.moreover u can take round trip of nathia gali(35 km) next day on rented car. there is nothing special to see in murree other than it.

Thankyou for replying @xoofi bhai , Now I call'ed many rent a car's and the minimum price i got /day for a Hiace (Grand cabin) was 6000 that means 18,000 for 3 day's plus the guy said the fuel will cost around 18-20,000(roaming in murree not included) that makes it to 38000 ,way out of budget ,A friend told about ' Faisal Mover's, a bus service by daewoo .They charge from lahore till murree 1100/ person which makes a total of 22000 which is quite reasonable comparitively .Now my question is do you have any experience with this bus service ? Will it go directly to muree or change buses ? Where will it drop us in muree ? In how many hours will it reach murree from lahore ?And do you think Renting a Hiace is worth the money ?

Bro i've been to murree infinite times but alway's on a personal vehicle , this will be my first experience with any bus service , and basically we have planned for muree just to chill and enjoy the weather and not go to any places . We'll live in a guest house over their which belongs to a close friend , it is near nathia gali.

Further it will also cost u few thousands for going murree to nathiagali and back. Not all people feel comfortable in buses especially on mountains and feel nausea, vomiting. While you can control this on hiace by simply asking the driver to go slow and steady especially on swirling roads and you can stop, take rest where ever you want.

We went to murree and surroundings on December 2013 in Grand cabin and it was worth the money spent. It might cost 7 to 8k more but its definitely worth the money spent especially when with family and kids. We also visited lake view park and daman e koh while returning and kids loved this sudden plan. On bus you cant make such last minute surprising plans.

Sometimes hiace people have contacts, you can ask them if they can guarantee entrance in murree with hiace. Otherwise choose Niazi if you find it better option. Good luck with trip and do keep us updated what you decide

Their buses are identical to daewoo's buses and they are pretty cheap too , 1100 / ticket till murree while daewoo is 1300 till rawalpindi . i just hope the trip is troublefree .

OK. then you have to take 2 hi-roofs (6 adults & 4 kids can accomodate in 1 also) to explore surrounding areas like NEW MURREE (PATRIATA), PC BHURBAN (don't miss their Hi-Tea), AYUBIA (a lot of Monkeys there, kids will enjoy more there), NEELUM POINT(RIVER NEELUM) and also don't miss the THANDIANI.

Thankyou for giving time bro and i'll be sure to enjoy their , and by the way i myself is included in the kids , i wrote kids for those who are under 18 although i should've wrote teenagers or young adults , yani 6 people including my 3 khala's , 2 chachi's and an adult cousin , rest of the 4 people including me are under 18 , My dad is'nt going with us ,he's busy with his work these day's, neither is any Khalo or Chaachu , and we're going to stay at a guest house near nathia galli , only to enjoy weather and relax

I have traveled on Faisal Movers Hiace service from Multan to Bahawalpur earlier this year. Was quite good.

i travelled with faisal movers in 2011 from lahore to murree. at that time the rent was i think 600-700 rs.it was my first trip to hilly areas so i didnt feel comfortable with the sharp turns and speed of bus. over all it was not a very bad experience. they dropped us 2-3 km before mall road, where taxi drivers and hiroof bolan driver picked all the passengers and drop to mall road. actually this was the stargedy of these taxi drivers to earn some commission from hotels at mall road. they take you to different hotels and get the commission from the hotel owner.

Do they stop for food when they drop us before mall road ? And how do the haice trick us , i mean do they insist on paying the commision or what ?

We have bought ticket's for 12.30am at night today , at what time should we be at the bus station ?
