just be careful with the rusted cars. Rest i prefer petrol.

go for 1.6 Gli aka AE101 In good condition....

avoid 2E (1.3L ) as it being carb wont be as economical as Efi variant

Corolla ae100 / ae101 is indeed a good car very reliable but it's highly overrated & overpriced even local 1.6L corolla are overpriced

Yes, 1.6 EE100 is very expensive nowadays, either get a 1.3 for cheap, then swap engine or just get a 1.6 VTi Civic EK which can easily be found in 7-8 lac nowadays.
