Need suggestion to upgrade my wagaonR to best car under 3 million

Hi, I have Pakistani WagonR VXL 2018 Islamabad registered right now. I want to upgrade my car and my Budget is 3 Million max. What are you recomendations? My daily run is 40 KMs (up and down) on Islamabad expressway. Keeping in mind the fuel prices, Fuel average is one of the biggest factor for me. Please give your suggestions.

I had 1.3 manual 2016 model city which i sold out last year and bought new city 2022 model.
2016 manual was giving me 16/17 with light foot within city

I had a gli manual giving me in 15.5 - 16 in city with AC. It depends on the route greatly. If driven normally and braking excessively and driving quickly it also got 11-12 or even lower. I travelled through canal road and used very very light foot on gas. I am now getting 11.5 -12 on a revo as my daily with same light foot and condition. Just a comparison to help. All the best. City is a good option and so is a GLI.

City cvt 1.2 , 2022 model in giving 15/16 with light foot. Its only 4k driven yet.
My 2016 manual city as told before was giving 16/17 same route. DHA 2 gate1 to f6 super market on express way.

On your route GLI can easily do 16 if you stay around 70-90 km/h.

yes new car needs to run around 20-30k kms to reach its peak mileage. My Gli started giving me this mileage around 20k mark.

Thank you @kjohn_18 and @salman_w for your suggestions. I can see @kjohn_18 is driving City and @salman_w is using GLi. So what do you suggest? which option i should go with?

You are welcome @mmahmood bhai. Gli might have slightly poor average but a lot better built quality. Its super reliable. I got a new car from showroom and never even had to get any service done except regular oil changes. 0 rupees spent on maintenance. Also the car was as quiet as it came new. corolla is an appliance car. Super reliable and you can count on it. suspension is also tons better. If you want new car only then city is the answer. If you wanna take slight risk of finding a good second hand car then corolla is bigger and quite robust. Also in this range there is the new Yaris manual which will be as comfortable and robust as old gli but smaller in size and interior room. Also has comparable fuel efficiency to a city. Shape is a matter of personal preference. Toyotas are cheaper to maintain as well. P.s. nothing against honda but its a bit expensive and hard to maintain. Toyota has better interior quality too.

Thank you @salman_w for your valuable inputs. I had Grande 2016 and Rebirth 2014 in past and both brands have their own pro and cons. When it comes to durabiluty Toyota is the best but when it comes to luxury Honda is best.

I donot know how is the fuel average of Yaris but right now i am considering GLi or City. I would love to hear from from @kjohn_18 about his thoughts on City as he has been using it from a while.

Bro new city is absoulte beauty. The best thing i like abt it is fuel average, CVT and elevated. I can take it anywhere.
Coming back to old city within ur budget. I had 2016 manual city. It really depends on driving style. My old city was giving me 16/17 with AC. Daily run was 70 to 75 kms. Zero maintenance in 5 yrs. Only engine oil, oil and air filter change in 5 yrs. When i sold out my car there was not a single scratch on it. Interior was like zero meter. Condition of the car was like as i took out from showroom 5 yrs ago. I m too touchy abt my car. Most of the people hold the opinion that honda cars have better built quality and i have the same opinion. Honda car interiors r always the best as compared to Toyotas. Old city suspension was kept hard by the company on purpose to save car hitting ground. Old city doesnt hit ground only the front mud flaps does. Excellent fuel average, nice interior, good built quality, good ground clerance and market ki gari ha. Even old 2003 to 2008 model city cars r still selling at high prices due to their fuel efficiency.

@kjohn_18 sir seems like we are a lot alike in terms of car care.
I have also kept city 2001 and it gave me big profit while selling and was quite a car. Loved that thing. There was just one thing, I once left the car for a year un driven and the fuel tank got rusted and so i had to change it. The original tank costed me an arm and a leg. Otherwise the car was a gem and i got purchase offers for that car left and right. I started from Mehran->Khyber->city 2001->civic(eagle eye)2006->corollagli->revo+Alto(to be delivered)

Started from Mehran 2004-honda civic 2005 eagle eye-honda city 2016-honda city 2022+alto vxl ags+corolla GLI auto 2015 (full b2b genuine)
All cars were in awesome conditions. I love to keep car neat and clean and never do any modification.
Got my sister 1998 mehran 5 yrs ago (70k driven at that time). Still in b2b genuine condition and in its own genuine red paint. Even the smallest nut is genuine. I have asked 1 youtuber for review. Not getting time to get detailing done before review. Jub kisi tung jaga ma mehran la k jani pr jaye hr koi peche pr jata ha sale tou nahi kerni.

I enjoy these ca stories where we give our blood sweat and tears. This is what us car guys live for lol. I had a Khyber 99 model complete genuine and zero rust just like new after even 12 years, got it brand new from showroom. Mehran was 89 model lol but we had a driver at that time so i was the one in workshops getting the car back in running condition once they ruined it. Alto has become a staple car now. i will share pics if i find of my city and khyber as they were gems.
