like if i am getting it very cheap, i would go for it.

GEN2 is nice car
proton launch there car in pakistan i think in 2006
i suggest u most go for GEN2 instead of mehran coure cultus baleno liana or santro there's not a big issue or mechanical parts like engine and suspension
proton use mitsubishi lancer engine and suspension so u get all the parts in pakistan i dont know about the body parts is it available in pakistan or not if not then u have to import them from malaysia because it's malaysian car it malaysia will cost u cheaper
if parts r not available in pakistan then dont for it if yes then i can bet it's much better then mehran coure cultus baleno liana or santro but if u can tell me the price of GEN2 how much will it cost u there in pakistan
and i'm sure aapko GEN2 ka bohut maza aya ga or GEN2 ko 94 95 model lancer k mechanical parts lugtay haan so dont worry about that

@ malik1983: thanx bro, well i have vitz 03 n i m getting Gen in Exchange of it n the market of vit03 is in between 680000 to 720000 rs so it means dat i m getting gen 2 4 about 700,000rs. wot do u say is it good deal or not?

ya price is ok as compare to malaysia becasue in malaysia u can get this model in 25000 to 30000 Rm ( malaysian carrancy ) 1Rm=24Rs then go for gen2 but check body parts r availiable in pakistan or not if not then malaysia is the only place from where u can get the cheaper parts but trust me u can enjoy more then all local cars instead of honda and corola as compare to vitz i can say vitz is japanes and proton is malaysian vitz is much better then Gen2 but i can bet u can enjoy Gen2 also the plus point of Gen2 is it's having a boot ( deke ) but u can enjoy it's really a good car u'll enjoy but i'm not sure wt's the resale of Gen2 in pakistan may b it's expensive may b it's cheap but as compare to malaysian price it cheap

resale is the only issue otherwise i talked to their dealership n they said that all parts r available. They said so now Allah knows better. Well i m very confused about wot to do....

hello saady_bravo! i dont know whether u have have bought your gen-2 or not; if not, I would suggest & strongly recommend to go for it at the 1st opportunity.......reason, I ma self keeping this car gen2 1600 since nov-06 and no issues, it rules the road when u wanna to.....dont need to say any thing else, take it once, u'll forget the rest.....assurance guaranteed.....supernt

I hope the performance of the car would not be a problem so would the maint unless you need a body part BUT lets assume you bought it and now you want to sell it where will you get a buyer of your price and today if it is scratchless and new if you get a door repainted you'll loose half of buyers .... my wild guess even if you offer 600k to seller he'll be happy to sell .. and after one year it would not be worth more than 500k.

A word of advise : do buy it but only when its market settle if it settles at all otherwise stay away or your ad for sale of a proton will be rotting here on PW in a short while ....
though I might offer you 4lacs .. j/k
