Guys i m going to buy Proton Gen2 (1.6L)... so i want to know that is it worth buying?? And wot about its parts avaiability and maintenance?? And 1 thing more that wot should be the market price of Proton Gen2 1.6L 2006 model neat n clean car??

bro with due respect ubetter go for CHINGCHI instead of Proton .....lolz..... no idea for this white elephent ... moreover its common thing pal that in this country where Suzuki rules u cant think ov such new modern cars where u cant find any mechanich or maintanc stuff.... so from my humble openion dnt go for such out ov market cars............

Gen 2 is not a commonly used car. Very few people will have opinion about it. It seems like a nice sport car but after a little while the maintenance issues and lack of skilled mechanics will start bugging you. Proton has NOT launched a proper network of technicians. I suggets you dont invest your money in it. A good alternative ride may be a Lancer forthe same price - around 2006 model. All the best!

one of ma friend has proton gen 2 1.6 ...trust me its an awesum car .. looks wise u can make it out urself ...but performance wise it was da best ... braking handling and acceleration was wat i loved da most .. i ve heard keh proton brakes are made by lotus company ...
anyways v had a friendly race b.w gen2 n city both on petrol n gen2 won !

Its a very nice car. Good looking and a perfect one. Drove it in Malaysia, Was too good. Unfortunately, I wont recommend you buying it. This car have ZERO resale. pARTS WOULD be problem. Even dealer ship would have limited items and they would charge a High price.
