Need to transfer car ownership but original owner is dead

Hi

Can any1 please guide me as to what is the procedure for such an issue? The original owner is not alive anymore. Also the orig owner's ID card has expired as well. No tokens have been paid for the car since the death of the owner.
The owner actually is my grandfather. What would be the procedure to transfer the car either directly to my name, using BABA QUAID or any? I am avoiding the legal way of transferring to all the legal heirs since most of them are abroad and it would be a hassle

Ask all the legal heirs to write noc/deed/statement(whatever it is called) in your name that they withdraw their right to that property(car). Or you can pay them their share and get it on your name...

lol..i agree to ur statement abt the baba quaid thing..however, jab saray legal heirs mei na ban rhi ho and aik khatara gari ap ko as a 'favour' de di jae jisko ap na nigal saktay ho na hi ugal..:D..to banda kia karay

@OP, the legal way is to have a succession certificate made and then transfer but you can always shop around for at least 3 or 4 agents and see what amount they come up with.

succession ctc hai court ka jisme sb legal heirs identified..but usme gari ni mention since is gari ki itni worth ni thi

For ever such asset succession is needed.. if there is such order and some asset is not mentioned then all the process has to be repeated.
