Need your Suggestions for TopGear Car Show

As most of us have seen the so called the Drag event yesterday but in my point of view it was sprint race not drags but anyways it was a good and sucessful event once again congrats to TDCP and to all the Participants.

Now i really need to your kind and valuable suggestion how we can make it more sucessful then this one few point which i have thought for TopGear Pk Show are

To have a proper drag race between 2 cars
Static Display of Cars (Exotic and Vintage)
Bob wires on side walls of drag strip
Proper family sitting areas with Projector screens
Food Stalls
Stalls of car Accessories and others
Proper and well planned security both police and private
Tickets (Rs 250)
General Car Parking out of Walton Aerodrome and to provide Shuttel service only for ticket holders .
Projector Screens for general public

And the most important thing the new finall date i personaly feel that it should be in March not in February

Kindly provide your valuble suggestions to make a better event

no matter how hard you try our idiot public will always try to get closer and closer to the action until someone gets killed and then everyone will get blamed.

i suggest you keep them as far away as possible form the races, an as close as possible to the stalls and displayed cars.

for people with families, there definitely be more amenities and there should be more contriol as to who is allowed to enter.

I agree but we have to deal with them in a firm way because they dont realize how much of time and effort we put to organize such events just because of some idiots infact i should be using some more hard words they spoil the whole event i think they have no right to see all this dont care even if its a discrmnation

Tanda is the only language they understand

InshAllah i will prove that these sort of events are for famlies also maybe we allow only families i dont want 10000 people in my show i like to be exculisive for well mannered people

Hve a more expensive ticket for people who get to be in the front row or closest to the track!!

also have huge displays of the time of the car!!

have a lady drop off the flag or proper lights!

a couple of suggestions from me .
1. proper christmas tree style lights for the launch and if someone jumps the launch the other guy wins.
2. proper timing equipment
3.better categories
4. if possible a drift track for the drifting fans out there
5. crowd control
6. crowd control
7. yes crowd control

after wat v witnessed in yesterday's drag race event... TICKETS R MUST... make it 500 if necessary... n it shd b proper drag race... screens r also must since times need to b displayed... no one was havin ne idea as to wch cars had the fastest times in different catagories yesterday...

as far as side walls r concerned a big YES to it... n i agree wd taimoor's suggestion of charging more from ppl n providing thm a sitting area near the track...

it shd b properly organized be tht in Feb or Mar

I agree to your suggestions with one exception. I don't know if you've arranged any such event before or not. In case you have and you got a got response from public then ticket thing is ok but in case its your first time then you'll have to let people come in free so that they see that all you said was there. Like you saying that exotic and classic will come but people don't know if they will actually come. Just let the first event go without ticket and then onwards you should charge a ticket. Atleast people will realize that what you said actually happened.

Just my opinoin which is a simple business trick. Whether there is a ticket or not, I'll come for sure .

Also one more suggestion that try to put sort of a boundary around cars in static display because people will do try to touch cars and all that (I've seen it many times in that tdcp event).

yar i think k ticket shoud be of atleast 500rs
so koi paindu wagayra ka rush na ho.....
or han there should be a proper place for the guyz who want to made vidz..... bt yay jagah sirf un k liyay ho jo sirf handi cam wagayra say vidz bana rahay hon...... PLZ yar agar dobara race krwao gay to koi aysi arrangement krna k race daykhnay ko milay yay na phir police danday marti ho........
and there should be a sticker on every car on which the cars specification will be written.....

In March,weather will b abit hot for such open space event in lahore.If u must then there must be some shades for ppl to sit under.

Top Gear, i appreciate your passion for the car shows and I am sure that you will do a great show.

Few suggestions from my side after viewing yesterday Race..

1- don't allow any cars other than which are for race or show, if there is no car then there would no mis management and at least no drag racing or drifting by the general public which unfortunately was visible yesterday; and would have turned into a major accident as few occassions.

2- Crowd control. It is a must, the best you can do is either have a wall, police, some ropes away from the strip so that people should not be allowed to come near. Make it necessary that no body should cross the strip in any circumstances.

3- Please don't allow in any circumstances the mobile phone walla movie makers and photographers to be near the cars, they just make the whole event a mess.

4- Have a proper place for media/photographers and ask them not to cross the strip again and again. Give them some proper places either on the strip, near endline or start line or in midline. It would be helpful for you to handle the stuff.

5- Make it a family event by having some sort of ticketing, make proper seating arrangements so that the view can't blocked, shades/tents can be used in order to avoid sunlight and heat.

1) u mst have ticket like 100 or 200 ruppee. but don't make it too much high as this is ur first show. and please don't let any paindu or children cum into the show. almost all the people from walton airport road who r living there was in the show. a huge crowd was of them so charge a less amount so they dunt cum in.

2) make it on 22nd feb or 1st march. coz after that summer will b on its peak.

3) make a sitting arrangment (same like as stairs) so the persons sitting back can also see the race easily.

I'm sorry but Drag races in the evening..I dont think it's a gud idea.coz in that case u need to put huge lights all around the event area and especially on the race track for at least 1 km(400M for drag 600M cars to stop)Coz when u can't stop ppl crossing the strip in broad day light then how come u'll be able to stop them at night with less light.
Also,If the lighting is not enough, media ppl will not b able to cover the event properly.

Bro dont worry about the lights i did it one time though the show didnt happened coz of rain on 14th of August 2007 we will cover the 600m for the drags also for the static display dont worry about the lights at all though it will cost a fortune but it will be worth it

kindly suggest me the date just a suggestion if we do on 22nd of March that will be sunday so we can have till late night coz on 23rd it will be a holiday and guys from other cities can easily come
one more thing if we can plan out before time we can also arrange boarding for all those people who will be coming from out of city

please daytime event and hey if u are racing two cars who needs timing equipment.we just need a start and finish area.and a proper grid like top sixteen or eight that goes on and only the winner remains.
