I'm sorry but Drag races in the evening..I dont think it's a gud idea.coz in that case u need to put huge lights all around the event area and especially on the race track for at least 1 km(400M for drag 600M cars to stop)Coz when u can't stop ppl crossing the strip in broad day light then how come u'll be able to stop them at night with less light.
Also,If the lighting is not enough, media ppl will not b able to cover the event properly.

Bro dont worry about the lights i did it one time though the show didnt happened coz of rain on 14th of August 2007 we will cover the 600m for the drags also for the static display dont worry about the lights at all though it will cost a fortune but it will be worth it

kindly suggest me the date just a suggestion if we do on 22nd of March that will be sunday so we can have till late night coz on 23rd it will be a holiday and guys from other cities can easily come
one more thing if we can plan out before time we can also arrange boarding for all those people who will be coming from out of city

please daytime event and hey if u are racing two cars who needs timing equipment.we just need a start and finish area.and a proper grid like top sixteen or eight that goes on and only the winner remains.

I would not recommend a drag race in evening, because yesterday it became very problamatic for people like me who were photographing the event to shoot in low light in evening. Hence, my suggestion would be to do that in broad day light around 2 or 3 PM at max as the race would go for at least 2 hours.

1st Ticket Price should be in two forms,
Rs.150/- for people who will have to be away from Tracks,
Rs.300/- for people who are interested in Tracks/Racing
(there should be some outline, so that everyone would not enter Race Area, whether its Seating or Close 2 Tracks)

2nd, dont make it too late, as weather may be little Hotter, and people may think it a 50 50 chnace becaise of little High Temperature.

well u do what ever measures but do keep in mind of thigs happened here

1=====put some ticket of 100 or 200 per person so not every thing come up there who even dont know a shit about cars

2===== about crowd ..we all being pakwheelers never crossed the lines set by organizers but crowd didt allowed as them came infront of us...do somthing that this wont happen again

3=====about the vanue...i think lahore had 2 in last months now u should think of islamabad....cuz most ppl will join from here and peshwar

4===== tickets should be differant for differant person...like who want to see drag a differant and for who want to see cars standing in back will have differant tickests

5=====plus make such an arrangment so that no 1 is standing infront of us

6=====stop those person doing burouts and pins on cars not registered.....or make a sperate place with in control area so that they dont mass things like they did in this event

BIG ISSUE=====please put those person on mike who know something about cars
not the 1s saying(((((ye arahi ha car number 703))))

please that makes a lot of differance in making a event good and usefull

they should be updated with detail before some 1 race on track

8=====plus dont use sound tracks while drag race going on

we want to listen car sound not to the commentaters

Yes 22nd march is a gud date consider 23 is a public holiday.

About making it a night trip.
1 - I think photo/vedio graphers will not b happy about it as i mentioned earlier.As it will very difficult to take snaps and make vedios of drags.And at the end u do want gud coverage of ur event (drags) .But if u could arrange gud lights then go ahead.
2 - No matter how much and intense lights u can manage, our 'enthusiastic' kids will try to get benefit from night and try to do hanki panki with the rides.(our typical pakistani mentality,jis cheez say mana karo woh zaroor kartaye hein) and God forbids if any participant get his car tempered or scratched will not b happy about it at all and could sue you..
3 - I personally think the charging participants 10K is high.considering they'll b coming from outside lahore by burning fuel(a participant could give a rough idea about his total spending for this event,my guess almost 20-25k)

well if u provide gud lighting for the event i don't think photographer would be having issues..infact many event done at night get gud coverage with cameras too...
and the main reason if u r planning to do in lahore..weather will be little hot in march end..so i u do it at night givin the cars more cold air u'll hear and see more of those noise and fire coming out of exhuast which literally attracts crowd a lot

2nd... plz try too arrnage stairs near too race track....nd do it 1 thing....plz that iz on drag event tha road iz woo wide... so wo maza nd speed show nae ho par rahi thi nd thora width wsie road choti rakhna... bs...nd if aap stairs nar araange kar sakty too koi hard thing use ki jay jahan say log agay na aksay..
nd price shud b 200 bs.... if u will charge high dan sum ppl will not come...coz u r not giving sumthing 4 eat in free if u r giving sumthing good dan u can charge 300 or 500 but point iz dat k painfu type log na jay soo dnt worry wo 100 b dyny walay nae ha 4 car show.. nd try to make a package 4 a car too.. if arounf abt 5 ppl in 1 car. u shud chage by ony 1 like 500... not charge person to person...
nd drift b honi chahye.. drift just sport cars jin par ho sakti hoo not 4 all. nd burnout b... nd nd ho sakay sound musik ka b compitetion hona chahye.. many ppl hav a goood sound system they put 2lac. on sound system ...

the only thing that matters is CROWD CONTROL, ppl come to see cars and drags no one come to kiss the cars but when they are not able see it then they start acting like a pando, I DID THAT

no one talked abt the other 1st TDCP drag race on the other track organizssed by too many organisers shit man that was scary , there were some fastest and fatal cars drifting and learing to drift starting from Suziki ( au)FX, Mehran, Alto's . that stript was more like Lahore - Gujrawala GT road

You should announce timings for static and for drag race and i think drag race wont take too much time, but if you send a boring car 1000 times on a track it will take time.

100% agree with u...
i did the same even....called ma driver asked him to bring the jimny..its a soft top 660 cc turbo one...and we started havin fun on grass....pushin it to limits...spinnin it on grass...had fun..
we were bored with the drags done by the same cars again and again
even though we had the best view sittin on 2 landcruisers top..

Well as most of you are mentioning about the CROWD its really very unfortunate that we dont behave in such occassions and then we blame Organizer's for that .

My major concern is the new date because as all of you know we just had a so called Drag show on 1st Feb and now Cholistan Rally is also coming and many people are busy in that i have been in touch with alomost every body and all of them are saying that do it in March ,On 9th of March there is a political rally as govt will not allow us because of the secutirty reasons then we have 15th and 22nd of March why i suggest 22nd of March because it will be sunday and on the 23rd is again a Holiday keeping in mind our freind who will be coming from out of Lahore will have a extra day to take rest before starting there working day also as i am plaining to start the event at 3pm till 11pm because of the weather i personaly think 22nd is the best date .

CROWD we are plaing to have the tickets this time there will be 2 type of tickets Rs250 and Rs 500 the differnce will be in Rs 500 we will provide sitting arrangment with canopies and free refreshments and in rs 250 we will provide them only sitting .Also we will put projector or you can say Multimedia screens all over the venue so people dont have to rush towards the drag strip .

Along with the drag strip we will put borb wires because despite we have experince even having so many police force they were fail to control the crowd and i am sure people will not be so emotional to hurt them selfs to cross those wires when they can have a better view on projectors screens in front of them this is one of the reason why i want to do this event in the evening and focourse weather will be better

General parking will be away from the venue and we will provide them shuttel service from there but they have to buy the tickets and go through the security gates before taking the shuttel .Gates will be open for those only who are registered before for the show or for those cars who are taking participating in the static car show for which i have already made a list except at very last moment some one brings very rare car .

There will be food stalls for both stands i mean seprate for people in Rs 250 enclosure and for Rs 500 enclosure.Also we will be having some attractions for the kids becaause i really want to make this event for the families as well .

These are the plans and i really need you support i will request if you some of guys can be volunters because its ur show as well and lets prove this that despite few fail attempts we have made it sucessful and safe for every one .

Photographers will have 3 different spots for them but only for professionals and they have to get registered before to obtain the tags to accesess in that area Mobile photographers can do from there stands .Media is Excptionals

Cars Registration for Drags and for Static display will be open for 3 days at Model Town Park no entries after that just like TDCP did .

If every thing goes well then we will go for Drfiting show and even Music Competion and others which will be decided later

This time Heavy Bikes will also participate and there will be some entries for normall cars like Hondas ,Toyota's etc .
