Its every person dream to buy a luxury 4x4 and the price tags you see of these vehicles its mouth watering and even below or equal to a new 660cc car. But in reality these are money pits and needs a Kings banks account to maintain it.
I have personal experience of having Pajero 1993, From 2005 to 2010. As my father was Govt officer and there was no decent can in govt at that time and he found an abundant PAJERO of an X chairman. First govt spend 5-lacks to repair it from Toyota Dealer Ship ....... The car came out of workshop after one year and fount lots of faults in the engine transmission, however the body was repaired and in good condition. Then again after 6 month again car got heated and than repaid about 1-lack. But again car loses its power soon . Then the decision was made to change the assembly and gear to Toyota 1KZ engine and auto gear box at cost of about 2-lacks. Then our all problems were solved however its computer was changed 3 time till 2010(don't know what pathan mechanic charges, as he came from Peshawar each time). However we love its drive and its gem on motorways, In the last years we came across the problem of worn out tyre and each Tyre at that time cost about 25-thousand each=1-lack and it was changed with in 6 to 8 months. Small maintenance cost were not known to me as its was not my duty to maintain that car. i especially likes it seats and soft stearing. it was like sitting on you sofa in your drawing-room

Final Verdicts.
I have not chance to own other 2 but some of my close freinds have these cars and rides and drives the SURF and LC70 many time. So please find some points below that will help you in your purchase decision.
Buying.
Pajero will be cheapest to buy than LC70 and most expensive will be Surf
Engine
Try to get car with newer model engines 1KD as there you will enjoy its ride, power and fuel economy. No to Mitsubishi engines are these are not repairable in Pakistan
Transmission
Try to go for manual as Auto may have some problems.
Body
Find the best neat boy as repairing and repainted is expensive and dose not recover the car fully.
Registration
Always check the car from 15 and web and ask for original book and original file. Most of these cars are NCP and slight carelessness can cause you a lot of trouble.
Comfort:
best is PAJERO than surf than LC70 (avoid buyin leaf sprint KAMANI jeeps as its will ruin you back bone. however kamani is cheap to maintian but very very uncomfortable)
Maintainance:
Pajero is the most expensive to maintain, however other 2 Toyota will probably be the same.
Fuel Economey:
Surf is the lightest so it has best fuel economy usually above 10KM/l, but than it depends on condition of engine and transmission.Our Pajero give 6-7 km per liter in city, but some of people says that PAJERO and LC gives 4 km/l on average.
OFF ROADING
LC 70 is best but surf is equally good, however Pajero Comes in last
Seating:
LC 7-10 people
Pajero 7 people
Surf 5 people
Tyres:
Allways buys the car with good tyres are the tyres are very expnseve and effects the ride quality if in bad conditions.
Last point you must have extra 4-5 lack after buying these vehicles and you must have a bike or small car for your daily drive as they are very heavy on Packet when you drive them daily.
