AOA, i hope i am not disturbing your thread.. just wanted to say , during my this year's trip, we also went till this point.. it a beautiful and peaceful stop.. i must also say that at the age of 51 , you are MA SHA ALLAH very fit.. best of luck for future travels

Thanks a lot for visiting this thread again by you. Yes I agree with you that whole Neelum valley is as beautiful as heaven on earth. You are lucky that you spare time for your outdoor activities and traveling is your passion as you have mentioned earlier in your thread. You have asked about my age and fitness thanks Almighty Allah I am also fond of traveling and outdoor activities. Now we have changed our lifestyle and outdoor activities have been minmized as rooms, laptops and mobiles are our favorite companions and due to these we have lost our fitness level. In 2013 I visited Kalam with my wife and in the main bazaar there is restaurant Parbet restaurant one of the oldest hotel in the Kalam bazaar I met there with Haji Muhammad Umer sahib owner of this restaurant he is more than 85 years old and still doing all his work see his fitness level and here is difference. God bless us with all his blessing.Please find below his snap with me.

Sir, firstly i would like to make a BIG SALUTE to you as you are retired from our beloved Pakistan Air Force... All personnel of force are most respectable for entire Pakistani nation... Secondly I feel extremely sorry to read your reply too late bcz on the very next day (20/09/14) of your post (19/09/14), I depart from the Karachi for NEELUM VALLEY... and today replying of 1st detailed post of yours... My trip was just for 10 days (KHI to KHI) incl.1 day in your city (but that was so hectic day spent with TQC guys) and then was busy in Eid/Sacrifice/Family blah blah...so plz.accept my apology...

Yes, you have missed worth visiting places like Taobutt, Jaagran/Kutton (Upper Neelum) etc. but at the same time you had done Arrange KEL, which is a big achievement (Y) as I could not reached Arrang KEL due to rain and some other circumstances but Insha Allah next time zarur jana hy from Kel Kinari route, which is around 3 KMs back from KEL bazaar and bit easy to reach the destination. After disappointment of Arrang KEL (that was the time of around 5pm) I spent around 1 hour at the Police Checkpost and had nice chit chat with Police Walas and then retired to same Hotel where you stayed (Sardar Sarhad for Rs.700/- ONLY)

Then, next day 7am, I left the KEL and went till Taobutt and returned back to KEL, then to Shardah, then to KERAN...Night stayed at KERAN in a very neat & clean Neelum Green Hotel (you can check that in your thread you have shared 1 pic).... Next day I visited Upper Neelum (beautiful Kutton Waterfall & zabardast French Colony at Jaagran)... Then same day reached MZD with short break at beautiful DHANI WATERFALL.

Bundle of thanks for appreciating me as Ex-Defence force person. I am proudly writing these words that PAF has given me a lot of things which I can't explain in words. I have learnt a lot during my tenure of service and spent a momentous time there.

Yes Imran Bhai glad to know that you have also visited Neelum Valley and covered maximum places (beautiful valley full of natures) as you have mentioned your trip details. We also want to visit the whole valley including Taobutt, Jagran and Shounter but unfortunately missed due to illness of female members. Next time we will visit these places (In-shah-Allah). Yes Imran Bhai, Kel Kinari trekking route is shorter than main Arrang Kel trekking route but it is far from main Kel bazaar. Let?s see your trip snaps.

Yes , with the advancement in technology outdoor activities have decreased.. But no matter what happens , travel enthusiasts like you and me will always travel no matter what the challenges may be.. Lots of respect for that uncle from kalam, he is a role model.. Sir i have also read your kalam thread in which u went in winter season.. Ever since ive seen those photos , its my desire to see the snow season of kalam.. One day IN SHA ALLAH..

I think this snap has taken on the way from Kundol Shahi to Kutton (A Hydro Power Station) am I right please?? Sir, traveling towards hilly area is always my passion. I try to read all threads and currently I am reading thread from Mr. Abdul Waheed Tariq Khan (23-Days visit GB) what a travelogue detail by him. I have visited all valleys in the past and I remind my old memories by reading the threads.

Assalam-O-Alaikum to All,

There are many excellent threads available to witness the true beauty of this valley, which is a gift (as given by Almighty Allah) I have explored these areas in the past several time alone from 1985 ~ 1989 (As I am a retired person from ?Pakistan Air Force?) and with the family this is my first visit of AJ&K. Many things have changed as roads, transports, Hotels and other facilities are now available. We have an ordinary camera (No DSLR) and my capturing capabilities are not so good as the valley is more beautiful than the beauty captured in snaps and you should visit the valley with your family. Please accept all my uploaded clicks.
