When i changed my speakers i needed a mounting bracket for new speakers. Wood brackets are not the best option. I found plastic ones but again universal (round only) and sometimes they wont fit in some cars and these days finding good 6x9 speakers is not possible in good brands like hertz etc

I found a video of a guy using acrylic to make a custom bracket according to the car and fitting a 6.5 into it

I guess number plate shop would be good. They have router bits too to cut those edges smooth so i guess they can cut a custom shape too if i give them a template made from cheap wood

ok good if u r using it as a template. when u get it finalised,

dont make it in acrylic, just go to the guys who do fibre/bumper works. they can use ur template and make u a fibre material plate for installing the fogs.

this is the final placement made the bracket out of acrylic as it is more easy to work with rather then fiber glass .

now going to do some work on the bezel , because after straightening the light with headlamps there is a gap on one side as there is slight curve in bumper , if there were no curves it would have been much easy but MA still looks oem .

used silicone and epoxy steel to bond the bracket to the bumper thinking of melting iron mesh into bumper and bracket to bond it forever .🏻🏻🏻

i know that is good but i think that acrylic is more sturdy and strong then fiber glass . let see will conduct test on bumpy roads and highway will share the results , can use fiber glass to reinforce it further .

the only issue with acrylic that it gets heated and bent. but u have used thick sheet, so guess it will not get affected by the heat.

The bezel making will be difficult. i wonder how will u do it.

i am using 5mm maybe i go to 8mm , but i am currently busy will start assembling it tomorrow or day after that , and friend of mine suggested to cut it in metal sheet and plastic weld it to the bumper .

and yes bezel making is another challange , addressing it aswell hopeso will get good results , but i am doing this project just for fun 🏻🏻 if some one needs the schematics and corel drawing will upload them

Why not buy a bezel for swift fog light. cut the center and use it.

it took me 2 days to allign the lights for right light throw and angle , and had to change the fog lamps aswell now i am using 2012 corolla fog lamps as they have slight angle to the glass that will cover the bumper and kinda eliminate the use of bezel for right now
