New Car Decision - Help Required

Assalam-O-Alaikum
Hope everyone is fine with the will of Allah.

I need to buy a new Car. Currently I am having a Honda Vezel 2016 Model with 2022 registered. Its self import car. Alhumdolillah best car so far. Experecine is good with great power and luxury.

Now I want to switch it with the following options which I am currently considering. I am looking for 7 seater as well

Honda Vezel Hybrid New Shape
Nissan X-Trail Japenese
Totyota Corolla Cross Japenese

Reason To Buy New Car:

1. New Expereince
2. Luxury
3. Offroading (If possible)
4. Long Traveling with comfort
5. 7 Seater (If possible but not mandatory)

Budget:
My budget is around 150 to 160 lac

Note:
A car should have a good resale value In case i need to sell

My first choice is to buy SUV for the offroading purpose. But I dont think in the above mentioned budget any SUV can come. Expert can advice.

So I mentioned my choices above as well. So if expert can guide. I am not looking for Sedan because of its ground clearance, With Vezel I never faced any issue. I did some offroading as well but not very much

I am open for other options as well

No Local Car Please, No Revo, No Fortunar

the 3 cars you mentioned are old JDM vehicles, as per this forum the JDM vehicles does not have NEW Spare parts support and are minimum 3 years old

Your best option is 2025 Model PKDM Corolla Cross a brand new vehicle with warranty

You should wait for the launch of Sportage hybrid, Sorento, BYD Sealion 6 and new cars by Hyundai .

Vezel is not a crossover & the it has lower ground clearance than a COROLLA
X-trail has low resale value Parts could be sourced out from abroad if you have a mechanic to work on it,
Corolla cross Japanese import has the same quality as local so why ???

Local vs jdm was more of an issue when the local cars lacked safety features, like airbags, immobilizer, etc.

Now it’s not an issue.

But first please clarify. Do you need an SUV and want to do off-roading, then immediately skip Vezel, Corolla Cross and other crossovers… they’re also not 7 seater.

This leaves you with Prado or Land Cruiser only.

If you want to do light off-roading then Sorento is there with 7 seats. Maybe Santa Fe as well 7 seater. Con is low resale.

Otherwise Haval H6 (5 seater) and Oshan X7 (7 seater) are also very good cars with local support and fine for light off-roading . Con is resale not as good as a Toyota but Haval seems to be on fire these days.

No idea about X Trail and even if you get it, will be nightmare to sell and maintain.

Never even heard of Xtrail so can't comment (tells you about resale as well ), cross and vezel are not for offroading , cross has PATHETIC ground clearance even less than city, vezel has DCT transmission heatup issues

Gen 2 Vezel has very good ground clearance I drove it for 2 years visit villages and drove it on hilly roads. Never faced any issue at all.

X-Trail has low reale becaus its launched in end of 2022. So its still very new and very few knows about it. But what they are offering in term of comfort, driving etc is amazing.

Quality is still an isue brother if we compare JDM with local. Local is still not up to that level and feature wise its far behind from JDM.

Quality is not an issue anymore buddy. Not much in my experience if we compare with latest model local cars in 6 million plus category.

Apart from Prado you’re not left with any choice then. Have to make compromises specially on off road capability.

Sorento 7 seater
Santa Fe 7 seater
Oshan X7 7 seater
Haval H6 5 seats
Sportage/Tucson 5 seats

Among imported I don’t know of any viable option.

This isn't 2010 my friend China is wayy ahead of locally available crap, HAVAL is excellent product and sells extremely well, the only car selling on Own right now
