New corolla 2011 pictures and information

Received the call from a local 3S dealer; they are booking Altis 1.6 too with 1Million...On asking if they have atleast the technical specs like whats the engine (the old 1.6 or the new dual VVTI) etc; neither he has any technical details nor he was confirming the price tags.

I will go for Altis 1.6; only if its cheaper than Civic 1.8 iVTEC (having 16.63 and 17.84 price tags currently) and is dual VVTI...confused...should I play blindly and be among the first who get the deliveries in first week of April (which that sales guy committed) or wait for the official launch letting the mouse coming out?

1.4 turbo d4d is more fuel econimical compare to 2.0 turbo d4d also 1.4 d4d is already launched on our current shape corolla in india n turkey while 2.0 d4d hasnt....btw our 2c diesel engine is 74bhp n 1.4 turbo d4d is 88bhp with better fuel economy than the old 2c engine...we dont need more powerful 2.0turbo d4d which is 140bhp n wud fetch the price more higher than corolla altis...

i visit this thread everyday in hopes to see pics of new 1.6 rolla. anyone who gets it first on pw kindly post pics asap. i would like to go for one too but only if they introduce ff cng. else my current rolla will do
btw, there were also rumors that toyota will introduce a ff cng rolla as well, any update on that?

But what we dont know yet is that 1.6 is with CNG or XLI/Gli are with CNG. Or all the variants have an optional CNG.

About the 1.8L Thats stil not confirmed, as Indus initialy stoped booking for 1.8 Manual Altis, then Auto Altis, then xli/Gli booking was also discontinued.

I booked a Gli yesterday at 1 million from GT motors but they did'nt mention anything about engine change nor FF CNG. They said only cosmetic changes are coming. They said they will deliver by mid of April

yes its quite enough if u compare with 1.3 xli/gli 85hp n 1.4 d4d is 88hp but more torque....anyway i dont think its goin to be launch anytime soon but i hope they (toyota indus) shud think bout this new diesel engine
