Honda Steermatic and Altis tiptronic can not be compared. As far as I know steermatic worked on a different principle i.e. it restricted number of gears. Plus CVT & Tiptronic are different things.

I have a 2010 Altis Cruisetronic. Has done 50,000km in 1.25 years and not a single problem anywhere. No problem at all in cruise control or tiptronic transmission which is used regularly. Only fault/issue we faced was the cigarette lighter getting loose (a month back) which was fixed FOC by Toyota

+1.cvt has unlimited gears and triptonic of altis has 4gears

Nahi janab i didnt see any leather wraping. Its a same old Altis steering.

The partial leather is perforated and rest on sides is plain leather. I've seen it in person and booked altis s/r a/t from toyota Rawal. Will get delivery in mid June inshallah. The seats r much better stitched than the previous altis.

Steering is not leather stitched,,today checked the car briefly,and in my corolla 2004 it was very difficult to maintain and slips alot.

12% better fuel efficiency? Better than? If it is better than 1300 cc GLI, then that's amazing.

The fuel efficiency of this car would make or break its sales. Auto cars are known to have less fuel efficiency than the manual ones. And GLI/XLIs fuel efficiency is already lower than that of Honda City. I heard GLI's average on petrol is around 10 km/l, is it true? If this car can give me around 12 km/l then I'll definitely go for buying this car.
