if u talk about corolla beating civic then talk about altis v/s civic
no doubt in 1.3L category corolla is the leader but in 1.8L category civic is far ahead than altis..
comparing civic v/s all corolla variants is not logical i think

what a sweeping statement, ''comparing civic and corolla is not LOGICAL? Does this proves that civic is the only better car on the planet? i think you should consider other aspects too , see other countries then you will come to know either corolla is being demanded more or civic .

These are the small things of corolla that disappoint me.
Civic is much more elegant. But thats just my opinion :-p, many may not agree....

This is nothing new , no surprise
Civic always has driving pleasure and style in this category
And it's a true drivers car

The positive things in corolla better than civic I would say and in all variants :

Rough and tough factor without any doubt
The suspension would be softer and better for our roads and driving conditions
More spacious cabin , comfortable rear seats and ample rear leg room
Bigger trunk space
The car is and looks bigger than civic has a great shape and road presence
ground clearance like always would be pretty good ( not sure if it could go over the footpaths easily lolx but from back this indus version is too high )

Overall whether Gli or altis it is a very nice family sedan and mostly suits older age or ppl who have drivers and want a soft comfortable ride spacious too esp at back seat or the best car in 1.3 Ltr category without any doubt

And for young guys like us , or shokeen banda who really wants to enjoy his car , loves to drive , the gorgeous multiplex meter with I mid display , powerful acceleration and feel of vtec , plus add ons like bodykits n stuff Civic is definitely the car for him in pakistan

i did, and All variants also includes Altis ,i think both cars are of the same class none of them are ''second to none'' both have pros and cons I also own 7th and 9th gen civic and one 1.8 ''Altis cruisetronic'' but views should be balanced always rather then being biased .

And i never said civic is the best car on planet but as compared to altis, it is the number one choice in 1.8L market atleast in Pakistan and everyone knows that.. In present shape Altis was downgraded from 1.8 to 1.6 bcoz ppl were preferring civic 1.8 so Indus thought of having a different segment of 1.6
If Altis is too good then why Indus is not closing its 1.3 segment?? Despite the fact that in most of other countries only 1.8 altis is launched and 1.3 L engine is not available in corolla any where else in the world??Infact this 1.3 Xli Gli is main reason for low sales of Altis

80% log Gli Xli hi lete hain sirf yeh soch k altis k liye 5 lac faltoo de ke bhi shape to yehi milni hai,, one of the main reason for preferring civic over altis...
Altis ki liking ka andaaza aapko iss se bhi hota hai k aapko 2008 model ki second hand Gli aur Altis almost same price mein mil jati hai jab k dono ki keemat mein acha khaasa faraq hai

Bhai jaan simple baat hai... Corolla is the best UTILITY car. Thats why it is used as a cab in airports.
Can u imagine a reborn being used as a Cab :-D. No, because it is a car for the young and energetic.

yes in Pakistan to some extent ,Altis is a bit different car its more of a Urban sedan as compared to corolla 1.3 (i am talking about Altis 1.8 here ) Corolla 1.3 is being widely used for rough areas, poor terrains plus economy as well is the factor for consumers.well after new 1.8 comes out situation will be more clear and specific since previous one was 1.6L, i may disagree to some of your views,cheers !

although i know new is new.... but if altis is 26 lakhs then why not get a clean Prius S package which would be costing around 26-27 lakhs with awesome fuel efficiency, features , performance, looks etc

Situation will change only if Indus discontinues 1.3 L category in corolla like other parts of world.. It can launch any other car in 1.3 segment
Being an owner of altis i wud not like my car to look same like a 5 lac cheaper one

I think 1.3 corolla is only in Pak..... Everywhere corolla is with 1.6 basic engine
