What ever You guys say regarding the price or shape its still going to be selling like hot cake and people arround us will be willing tp pay premiums and showing off that they have bought New Corolla Escilie or whatever 2D they call.This can be my own observation/Experience, that a person who buys Corolla XLi/Gli of 1300cc he/she has no knowledge of how to buy a car and what type of specifications one should look in but if a person buys an Altis i guess he knows which type of specification to look and also knows how to maintain a vehicle.These corollas are used like donkeys specifically in Torkham border areas.

Bro its not just about knowledge. The price difference between an xli and the altis is great, and with people with a family who are on a tight budget, tend to buy the xli/gli as it is more spacious than its competition such as the honda city.

Corolla 1.3 L should be discontinued. They should introduce another small Corolla for those 1.3 L lovers.
Only then, Civic and Altis can be compared.

They can't discontinue 1.3 the major reason for there success is xli and gli without these two Indus can never achieve the number of sales they are getting right now.........by introducing different varients they are making it affordable for maximum number of consumers......

I need to calculate power to weight ratio of current 1.3 corolla and compare it to the new one (since the engine is same but body is larger/heavier)

I found 1.3 corolla current model has 84 hp ..weight not mentioned on brochure

And, what about the auto 1.3 xli. is it the 4 speed auto? would it be too underpowered?

Auto xli would be 1.6 4 speed super ect

If xli and gli both can be manual with 1.3 then why not 1.6 the difference would be abs and power windows

We Pakistanis will never mind if they offered without even power side mirrors which by miracle they offered in last model. After market complete kit that need to convert XLI TO ALTIS is available in 40 k (non 3s)

In new case if xli is in 1.75 complete kit 50000 and in 18 u can get sheshka of a altis...

Watch my case..
bought in 13 and all accessories in 65,000 - 80,000 (estimated - body only).

and after 3 years sold in 1410000
that all u cant do with CIVIC

Dear all,
I went to a Corolla dealership yesterday and here are the latest updates on the upcoming Corolla:

1. The new Corolla will be in dealerships at around July 15.

2. Altis will be launched first.

3. The gentleman working in the dealership told me that he would be able to give me the exact price of all trims right after the budget is announced.

4. The reasons why Altis will be announced first are the follows:

a) The top-of-the-line model is announced first so that IMC (Indus Motor Company) can tell everybody what their best product looks like.

b) IMC will see the public-response to the new Altis which is being launched after a big gap of six years.

c) The features of lower models (XLi and GLi) will also be announced by IMC declaring, "Here is our top-of-the-line model (Altis) and our lower models (XLi and GLi) will not have these outlined features of the Altis and they (XLi and GLi) will be launched 'soon.'"

1. He also told me that this time, IMC had kept everything top secret and all features of the new Corolla are based on rumors. He also told me that he had also heard of paddle shifters being offered in Altis.

2. His dealership will get two Altis' for display at around July, 15.

3. No test drive will be available for the general public. I failed to understand this nonsense.

Bought Civic Exi prosmatec for 949 and sold for 925 with 55k on the odo
Bought VTi Oriel Prosmatec 2004 end in 2007 second with 33 k on the odo for 845 sold in 2011 with 50 k plus kms on odo for 1065 as far as I remember khair it was the best civic of khi at that time without any doubt hot gorgeous with bodykit and spotless exterior interior
Recently sold reborn prosmatec in lapis blue color (lapis blue had poor market response ) but still sold for around 1550 it was 2009 model and 55k driven
Currently have offer of 26 for my 9th gen civic with all add ons Civic has a great resale
Ye past mein tha concept ab civic has a great market resale value

i sold my father's 2005 civic exi for 10.2lacs with 175k on the odo, with touched up bonnet and up trunk. that was last year. got 9th gen civic later.
also sold 04city with 190k on odo and sindh number plate for 8lacs. painted right side rear door and rear fender, (also last year).
had to upgrade the fleet
keeping in mind that these both cars were sold within a period of 7 days, that tells a great deal about honda's resale. (exi took only 2 days. even when we had the car, we were getting offers) city was a bit of a hassle but i think that was because of sindh number plate.

2007-2010 During these 3 yrs rupee depreciated heavily that factory price of vti oriel manual which i bought for 1460500/- rose to 19 lac in 2010 and 1 lac ON was also there.. i got benefit of increased price which infact was not benefit keeping in view decreased value of rupee
P.S the car was driven only 30000/- in three years and was scratchless just like new...
Waqt waqt ki baat hoti hai Present shape i.e 9th gen k aane ke baad buhat se logon ne 6-12 mnths chali reborn 2-3 lac loss pe sale ki hain
