This happened recently to a family in Islamabad, whom I know through a friend.
Four men, with weapons, entered into a clinic and approached the doctor. The clinic was somewhere in the outskirts of Islamabad. They said to him that they are from an investigation agency, investigating the case of kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer (Salman Taseer's Son). When the doctor, an old man, asked for their identity, he was asked not to be a smarty pants and follow them in their car.
They drove him to Islamabad and took him to an unknown destination. Later they called at his place and informed his son. Subsequent to that, one of those 4 men went to his residence in Islamabad (perhaps along with the doctor). He asked his son to bring some documents and all the jewellery in the house. The reason given to have a look at the jewellery was that when shahbaz taseer was kidnapped, some jewellery was also stolen from his car. Those men were obviously well informed about the family, the family members, their routine, the fact that they had been to lahore recently and so on. Naturally the doctor's son was reluctant to argue much.
Long story short, the man took all the jewellery and the two men (the doctor and his son) in a car and drove to a place in Islamabad. Stopped the car, asked them to get out of the car and drove away with the jewellery.
Lesson: Be vigilant.
PS: The story may sound absurd but it is true. I have intentionally skipped the unnecessary details however have provided enough information for people to be careful.
