New government Passport Issue

Assalam-o-Alikum,
i need guidance i have a government passport(new one which doesnt mention :government employee on second page) but i did get my passport with a NOC from my department so they have my profession as government employee on their database.. My question is if a get VISA on this passport and resign form job because i am contractual employee i have to resign in order to go x pakistan. Then can i travel on this government passport or i will have to renew the passport with my profession changed and if i do get a new passport will it create an issue with my VISA on previous governement passport or i would have to inform related embassy of that country that i have new passport please guide me on this issue i will be very thankful JazakAllah

when you resign from the JOB you shall surrender the passport after cancellation.
Release letter to be submitted with passport at passport office for cancellation. They stamp the passport and visa pages cancelled & return the book. You can keep the cancelled passport for upto 2 years.

every time a govt passport holder travel abroad (hajj umrah ziaraat included) the respective department NOC is mandatory at immigration desk.

Govt Passport holders when travelling abroad can claim certain immunity from local laws in case of an emergency which the common green passport holders can not avail.

it is explained to every individual by head of organization when travelling with such passports.

do not resist arrest or runaway from crime scene.
request consular access by stating your official position and purpose of visit.
request contact with HOST organization in case of seminar / conference.
