New Honda CD70 giving 55km/L

Hello everybody....
my first thread in Pakwheels

I have bough new CD70 in Feb 2012.
Now that running is completed and i have changed oil twice @500 and @1000.
I thought to check fuel average. So when it hit the reserve last time i put 4 litre petrol in it and managed to get 220km till it hit the reserve again....
150km on long intercity drives(average speed 60) and 70km was intracity use...
Is it normal??
How much mileage other new CD70 users are getting, plz comment...

And one other thing, max top speed i can get is 70Km/h, ain't it a bit less??? I would love to touch at least 80 as i have seen many CD70 users posting shots of touching 90...

Edit: Yes, i got my bike tuned at 1000Km (first free tuning)

U didnt mention tuning ur bike? did u get it tuned? If not then do get it tuned and, get the tuning done at least every 2000Kms At least!

i will advise "tuning of bike"
and see if there is improvement

i had checked my bike unique 2012 when it was brand new it gave me 60km/l and that in intense traffic speed maximum 60km mostly 40km and below

Your average will continue to get better uptill 5000km, i ride at 45-50 km/h and get an average of about 60-62km/L (mine is 2011) so your's at 60km/h is just about fine(it will improve).
As far as top speed is concerned mine easily goes uptill 85km/h(not above) so may be you bike needs some tappet or fuel/air mixture adjustment.Have you had the first free tuning done @1000km? Also which oil did you use on both occasions ?

motorcyclists come and stop at redlight in front of everybody then take a economy speed suitable for them usually 45km/hr.

and rest of guys driving in 2nd gear, trying to reach their suitable speed abt 65-80

why in Pk, motorcyclist has to go in front row. and hit handle to sideview mirrors, and scratch foot rest to side of car?

no 70 is going at 80km here, unless they have nos installed. its a fact, only in villages they go at 80km

yes i got it tuned at 1000Km.... and will do next on 3000... that's the plan...

Seems to me like you had a bad experience with with a motorcyclist in Pk:'(, bhai agar jaga hai to banda agay kyun na jay:P

yes i got it tuned at 1000km and used Atlas Honda CD70 oil on both occasions...

Use Havoline Engine Oil. Put the Petrol setting on minimum. and try to get the maximum Top Speed whenever possible but in your controllable limits.

This time i put 2 liters of petrol and kept max speed at 50km/h...
i was able to get 120Km out of it....
So now i can say it surely gives 60Km/L (which i hope will further improve as told by Chaudhary007 )

what's the use of bikes in Pakistan when bikers stay behind from cars??? this country have different traffic and vehicles system. we peoples or at least me always prefer the bike over car bcoz I can get away from traffic jams as soon as possible but on car once we stuck, we are stuck in that place forever.

I always take care of others cars doors and mirrors specially new cars when moving towards signal between car lanes.

don't need to mess up or play with petrol settings on new bike. Thanks God my bike RPM is stable i think its on 1000rpm or near 1k. sounds good 2 me

When I bought brand new CD 70 4 years ago I checked its fuel avg and it was giving me 75 KMPL easily so after 1500 I tried to avail the first free tuning where these antena shop idiots opened up a 1500 KM run carborator I had a big argument with that idiot and I told him unless there is a issue you dont opened the F**** carb, he like all of them was a Jaahil mechanic hired by honda anteenaaa...

Anyways his only Aim was to somehow make the bikes idle as smooth as possible so he achieved tht by playing with the carb adjustment.

Than my avg from 75 dropped to 48 to 50 hmm than I went to CSD and checked the default screw position on new bikes and started tunning my bike now the idle from very smooth became a bit erratic but it was not that bad I could live with that and my AVG again gone back to 70KMPL I remember I use to ride my bike around 20 KM everyday and I had to fill its tank only once a month :p...

its less.... even if you touch 70Km/h, your average shouldn't be less than 50Km/L on a 70cc....
