I had similar issue in my city 2016 manual. In my case ac gas was low. Filling it to the proper level fixed the pipe freezing issue.

In city ac trips after every few seconds. If the ac does not trip then the pipe freezes. You can also feel the noise change of the ac blow nd blow also reduces when it freezes .

If nothing solves the issue just switch ur ac off for few seconds when u feel a change in noise or decrease in blow

My daily vehicle is 2008. Yesterday i drove a friends 2016 city and also my city 2019 aspire. I can clearly and with confident says that the AC performance of corolla is much better. I have also driven 2017 Gli and the AC literally chill.

Yesterday when i came home in my corolla, righ after stepping out of it, my glasses got foggy. It was the case with the two cities. They were also driven at noon.

My observation, the vent temperature of corolla stays somewhere between 8 to 9 C whereas in city, it stays between 14 to 15 C. Will check and then comment

I got my City checked last year and the Honda City Sales guys said its ok. On my pressure, he attached the pressure guage and said the gas is stilghtly less. He topped up a bit but still the performance is same. I think it need proper vaccuming and then refilling by weight.

14-15c shows some problem in ur cars ac system.
We serviced one Honda City, it came from mirpur, it had 10-12 vent temperature. It was low on refrigerant. It was added with new refrigerant and vent temperature dropped to nearly 6.0-6.5 degrees.

Hi Haroon,

I am having new city 2019, 1.5 AT, not happy with AC performance and also when park the car produce whistling sounds, i doubt the AC gas is not fully charged to the level, tried to complain Honda Center ISB, but they are goli baz.

Can you advise what the best way to have it checked and does AC gas or AC issues comes under warranty? or do we need to pay extra?

Same is the case with my car. The blower does produce whistle sound on speed 1. I got it checked from Honda City Sales Kalma Chowk and they said it is ok whereas it is not ok.
Im myself of finding a way out to get it repaired. Thinking to visit the dealership in the coming week but which dealership should i opt. Expert opinions are required

undoubtly i have to agree with you..my 2008 corolla still cools quicker then aspire 2019. Plus i havent gotten her service even once MA MA MA

Actually my Ac condenser is making whistling sound, once i reach home after drive and park, it keeps on going like gas circulating around 15-30 minutes, i assume gas pressure could be low

and honestly use mostly japanese, so really horrible AC ,blower of ac make a lot of sound and lot of stress on engine, we live in a such world where junk is sold, 26 lac car as zero meter for the technology of 2009, still selling to PK people in 2020

Rizwan bahi i have to agree with you. My car ac blower also make whistle sound on position 1. Same is the case with one of my colleagues city 2019.
Anyhow coming to the point and that is how to get the AC back to its optimum life.
Im going to do a simple experiment in a day or so and that is to measure the vent temperature of different city models. If mine vent temperature is high then others, surely there is an issue.

Thank you brother, appreciate your reply, i have some experience on AC home, but not much on car, but i have a very good friend working as technician in refinery, i am planning to let him check, at least he give honest opinion.

i recommend check your ac low and high pressure, car off 100 psi both, when car running low side 25 - 35 psi and high 200 - 250, i am pretty sure factory don't top up the full gas pressure

Got my Honda City AC checked from HONDA Township. The mechanic checked through guage and physically touching the pipe, told me the AC is okay. However, I insisted on checking the refrigerant weight. Upon connecting with the vacuum machine refrigerant weight came out as 350grams (450g is recommended).

Checked the circuit in engine side for leakages, no issue observed during pressure test, held pressure for 15mins. No abnormality found, so refrigerant was once again made up through the machine to 450Grams. Working fine from then.

Kindly koi btaye ager kisi ka masla hal hua he. Same 8ssue is going with me. High rpm per ac kam chorr jata he. Condenser and compressor both changed and overall service also done. 3 dafa gas niklwayi aur dalwayi he issi issue k peechay

If you have changed condenser and compressor and the problem hasn’t been solved it means there might be evaporator coil or temperature sensor is malfunctioning. You need to show your car to the right person instead of 3S dealership. They are even worst in handing of technical issues. They only know to replace a part instead of finding a fault.
