Bro i think the registration charges are now around 70+k for 1.8 civic.I registered friends civic in 2010 and at that time it was registered for 70k .I can be wrong.Or Oriel PT 20 ki hogi na 7 k freight bhi to hua na.

Who wants to buy civic for 2.2 million.i cant understand the concept when one can buy a markx for 2.5 million which has all leather seats and navigation with other options too.

Good condition mark x and cl9 are very rare. Civics get sold in 1000s while good condition imported cars are only handful in number. At any given time, only 5-10 excellent conditions cars would be available in market for sale. I am searching for a cl9 since last 1 month but can not find any. All that are available are in pathetic condition with repainted pieces and reversed odometers

No options actually. It will only increase the import of Axio's and the likes which will greatly harm the countries GDP.
Plus Axio like cars are not admired by everyone.
Their JDM advantage can be over looked by their ugly exterior styling.

Didnt want to drag toyota here but since you already dragged.I want to say that still axio looks better than ugly city.You will city because you see that on regular basis on roads where axio are very rare.no offence

Mtmis.punjab.gov.pk say 65k but i think they havent updated their site in this matter.And you are right cl9 nd markx of gud condition are very rare.

1) You are entitled to your own opinion.

2) I still find axio alot more uglier then City.

3) USED 1.5L Axio costs around 1.8 Million. 1.8 fully loaded variant touches 2.2 Million which i think is too much for that ugly looking car. That is why people still buy local crap.

4) I didnot drag Axio in terms of performance etc, I mentioned the "import" of Axio type cars getting increase due to insane local prices .

mtmis site is updated..i myself registered my VTi MT for 59k last week...getting the car registered is straight forward way; all you need to do is fill one form. I got the number within 5 mins...dont register through brokers who takes 3 to 5k on top...

The plant is either opened or opening in few days..as i checked from local dealer today for the booking of some friend and he assured the delivery of any car..city or civic within a month...they usually deliver even quicker..i booked my civic on april 11th and got it on april 30th...

Dont pay any on...book the car instead...waiting 2-3 weeks is better then encouraging investors / premium business model

The registeration charges of different variants of Civic is different..as it depends on the invoice price..for complete break down one can always check from mtmis web site

But let me tell u one thing,the prices flactuate dealerships to dealerships (3000 to 9000) here in Pk. And why da registration charges r different for VTI M/T to VTI Oriel P/T as all of em r 1800 cc.

I paid b/w 70k-75k reg. charges for my vti oriel pros in feb 2010, excluding auction number charges. Paid 55k for 1.3 GLi in feb 2010 excluding auction number charges

^^ You were looted pal; I registered my City in Sep 2009 for 42k (11.99 + 0.07 freight invoice); registered GLi (14.62+0.15 freight invoice) in Feb 2011 for 48k and last week registered Civic VTi M/T (16.85 + 0.07 invoice) for 59k. All were registered by myself by walking into the excise office...

I myself was looted by a broker back in Jan 2009 when I registered my wife's car. I am not remembering exact difference; but I learned the lesson and since then I have registered all my cars myself. As mentioned before; its not that big deal. You can download Form F from MTMIS site. Fill it; get a file; attach invoices and a photocopy of your NIC card. Walk into the office; you will need a sticker from there now; fill that sticker with your address etc. Its required as they paste it when they send the return file. If the address is different than whats on your NIC; you will need some proof that you live on the address what you are writing in forms etc. A copy of utility bill or something like that. New DHA office is cool; just take the money with you and deposit the file / money on the counter; and if getting the number from series; they give the plates on the spot. Walk out; take your car to some number plate wala...install number plates. This is it. Its that simple...After a week or so; they dispatch the return file and "registeration paper"

Edit: Special Numbers
Even if you want special numbers they have now streamlined the process. Auction happens and announced on MTMIS site whenever new series start. After that you can get "un-contested" / "left-over" special numbers by paying the fixed prices. http://mtmis.punjab.gov.pk/Download/Reserved_Prices.htm has info about the prices. http://mtmis.punjab.gov.pk/Download/Circular_Auction.htm has info about this revised policy. I got one similar number by paying 2k on top of 59k totalling 61k (61290 to be exact)
