New Mehran Efi Mileage

I am also getting a low mileage .. my euro-2 is arounf 400 kMs driven. hope average gets better after some more running.

What I am worried about is I hear a whistle type sound from engine bay after driving it for around 5 KMs... the sound goes off after about 1 to 2 minutes.. I would like to know if someone here is having the same problem...

in my opinion the sound is due to tight engine belts. get their tension checked.

what about ac in this new euro 2 engine ? as previous carby mehran used to get hot in city drive with ac ??

Yea to garmi main hi pata chalay ga. Actually, initially efi is not coming as VXR. It was available on booking only. As when it arrived summer season has almost over. Real thing about engine heat up will be checked in next season.

If they said so they are lying. EuroII Mehran hardly does 14 km/l in the City and 19 to 20 on the Highways. I think there isnt much difference in mileage of Carby and EFI mehran.

i heard somewhere at pw that pak suzuki going to get new efi engines from india for alto , any further advancement in this ? as alto efi would be good for ac as i personally thinking to change my 2006 white cng alto and have any smaller compact petrol car

Yes, I heard it too. but no official confirmation yet.

Bro check your fan belt, see if its loose. Suzuki guys are not so good when it comes to QA/QC, so they might have left something loose. I suggest visit the showroom and have it checked.

last evening we were in market for getting new mehran, at 3s delaers light green colour vx mehran is rs595,000 including freight
where as one dealer gave us very good offer to book car @rs 580,000 + just rs6k freight , delivery in 10 days :S
hopefully on tuesday will book car through him

afzal motors jail road lahore but that special offer was booking before 31 dec as to touch their sales targets now this offer is not valid, overall afzal motors having compititive rates for suzuki cars

i dont have good experince with company fitted ac compare to aftermarket from punjab car ac lahore
i remmber my vxr used to get heatup faster than the one vx mehran which ac was installed later from punjab car ac

Bad luck. You could not get benefit. There are some good option like matching bumper, door covers etc (2 or 3 things) available in vxr.

I recently purchased Mehran euro ii , I filled the tank at 257 .8 km odo which was 2500 rupees. Now after 101km odometer at 358.8km I refilled the tank .the total was 829 rupees. Same meter at same pump was used for filling.
the mileage per litre turned out to be 12.54 and cost per km comes to 8.29rs/km.
this is not par to what Suzuki propagates . Any similar experience . The car was totally driven in Rawalpindi mostly from gts depot Peshawar road to Kashmir road Saddar .the second fill was 8.05 litres

Actually it is the correct mileage for an EFI mehran within city.. on long routes (less gear shifts and brake usage, speeds above 60 km/h) it will hopefully do 15 km/L. but if u want to increase mileage, use petrol from CALTEX or TOTAL ur car's mileage will increase approx 2 km/L.

i did 63km with a/c in 3.6 litres of petrol which is about 375rs total, it gives 17.5kmp/l.This car is great for fuel efficiency but suzuki should improve its quality build quality is very bad and the parts and plastic used in car is very cheap. Some people claim to get 23-25kmp/l dont know how they get that mileage... I think in a budget of 7lakhs it is good to buy it coz the jdm alto pino or otti are good as they have abs and many other good features but they aren't good at resale and parts availbility is a big issue my friend has a jdm alto and is for sale from last 6 months, so in terms of Local Pakistani use i will recommend it in low budget car which is economical. If you go for a JDM then vitz premio type of cars are good although vitz has a poor resale but better then dinkey JDM's.

It is not a joke, Mehran is capable of giving good milage, also depends on the way you drive. i am not that guy at 3s, but i have experienced good milage beyond 20 on Motorway.
