New NGK Platinums for my Platz (pics attached)

hi guys. went to pindi over the eid and came back today. planned to change the spark plugs of ma platz so contacted Jehanzeb (@jz here on PW). initially ordered Bosch Super 4 (4 tips) but then changed ma mind to NGK Platinums (for some personal reasons :)). have fixed them today. wud let u guys know abt the experience in coming few wks here Inshallah. attaching the pics before the installment. just one question, what shud be the gap for CNG setup in my car. heard that for CNG the plug gap is less for requirement of better spark. If no, please lemme no...if Yes, then how much shud it be. for now, i have left it as stock

well to be very honest, i only considered super 4s and platinums m not an expert on them, so i m sorry i cant help u out with the competitors

i m not expecting something big from them. reason being that the fuel quality, of both CNG and petrol here in quetta is PATHETIC. the car barely moves on CNG here. its just that jz is a trusted guy and he imports the plugs directly from Japan. i mite have paid a lil more, but at least i m sure that i have got the genuine stuff

went for a test ride today at both high and low speeds...and both high and low RPMs in different gears. i have felt marked difference in the ride. first of all, throttle response is much more predictive and stable now. secondly, RPM is more stable and smooth. third, car acceleration has increased and the engine seems to be kinda more "easy" when accelerating. abt the fuel average, i cant say for now. wud post the stats in few days inshallah

i also ordered the Super 4s initially, but then due to some reasons i dropped the idea m glad they are working fine for u though

my da tested how it is now after the plugs are installed........it went to 130 kph on the 2nd gear with 5 thousand rpm

in my eyes setting up a car for CNG is a dark art. not too sure about the actual plug gap for your application but as you mentioned it'll be less than it is for petrol. best advice i can give you is to keep it stock and slowly decreas it using a feeler guage untill you feel that your car is driving correctly on gas.

i think spectra would be able to guide you better.

thanks bro for replying. yeah many ppl say that gaps must be less for the CNG setup, but guess what, ma car is goin really well after these plugs with stock gaps, so i have for now decided not to alter them
