On 10th November, 2010 the new Proton Inspira has been launched by Proton in the Malaysian market. The car is the combination of technology sharing between Proton and Mitsubishi. Proton Inspira is available in four colors, i.e. Plum Red, Solid White, Genetic Silver and Tranquility Black.
Proton Inspira is better than other car model because it comes with additional and improved features like Proton Ride and Handling and also has nicely tuned suspension system for comfort. The price of Proton Inspira is between RM78, 999 and RM91, 999. It comes with 3 different choices of transmission and engine, i.e. 1.8 litre MIVEC 4b10 manual transmission, 1.8 litre MIVEC 4b10 CVT Continuous Variable Transmission and the Proton Inspira Premium model 2.0 litre MIVEC 4b11 CVT Continuous Variable Transmission with paddle shifter and leather finishing.
The latest model, Proton Inspira is a mid-sized four door car. It enhances and strengthens the upper C-segment which offers in the line-up of Proton’s models. The 4B10 1.8 litre pot found on the two Executive variants and the 4B11 2.0 litre block in the Premium offers 140 hp at 6,000rpm and 177 Nm and 150 hp and 197 Nm respectively at 4,250rpm. Talking about the performance, the 1.8 manual comes with a claimed top speed of 202 kph and a 0-100 kph sprint time of 10.0 seconds, while 1.8 CVT has 191 kph and 11.4 seconds. The weight of manual rolls is 1,300 kg, while the 1.8 CVT and 2.0 P are 1,325 kg and 1,335 kg respectively as for kerb weight.
