ya. but in my case gas leaked due to to flare nut of aliminium pipe leaked which is attahced with reciever dryer.so thats why i topped of gas again. Alhamdulillah I have system of gas refilling at home also. if your Ac performing low in sunlight then need for the amount of gas in the system to be checked. By the way do you know how much Honeywell R-134a cost/KG how much tachnicians charge for filling 1/2 KG gas in mehran Ac???

No idea.. i done my complete ac service of ac in 2700 with ac filling , evaporator cleaning , condenser cleaning..

they dont only charge for gas but also for their labour and skills.. you have all equipment at home.. thats good.. you save that money..

you had low amount of gas? how much gas he refilled,any idea. he just looted you by just cleaning of condenser and evaporator and charging 2700. very low quantity would have been filled to just top off which was less

my car ac gas refill cylinder at home having geniune honewell genetron r-134a gas. Can be filled in any r-134a supported ac systems in modern cars. And my generator engine spares and leftover lying at home

my mehroo's old brass radiator. Slightly leaked 2 or three channels under tank. If someone interested to buy it then do contact me..

so you think aluminium works better than copper in a radiator? The amount of rust on the radiator shows the system was being run on water only for quite a long time. - btw - you can get this radiator recored with a new grille from loads and it would be back to perfect condition, You specially see a huge difference in a mehran.

btw - you are pretty mistaken on the "drect fan teknalojee" - consider the fact that suzuki is the most kanjoos manufacturer out there, even they installed a thermoswitch to kick the fan on. Yes we all agree that the original fan installed a mehran is an item suited for the scrap bin even if its brand new, but still - why are you running it constantly?? Are you one of the people that say "agar ye auto nahi chala tau?"

no it wont, the technician has to pump down the system and then dismantle the line set. After the job of cleanup - the lineset is tightened back, vacuum is pulled down on the whole lineset and evaporator and the block valve is opened to release the trapped gas from the condensing (outer) unit.

If the technician requires to work on the condensing unit - e.g. welding something - he needs to reclaim the gas from the unit into a bottle. If he vents it to the air - its highly unprofessional.

OH no Zulfiqar Sahab! i have heard your name a lot. you seem quite famous on pakwheels. i dont have mentality like typical mechanics have but mehran can not cope up with the extent of heat in Paki Climate. what do u suggest further about old radiator as loads radiator is available in rawalpindi at waseem autos with brackets so how can i only get cores for loads. but ya i know other manufacturers in lahore and gujranwala are making only cores.
i had been using osaka coolant in this radiator for quite a long time but now in new radiator in have put two bottles of geniune suzuki coolant. for now its performing well.

Mehran comes with auto fan from time when they did not provide seat belts. you can see how much importance they are giving...

as far as i know and i did ac service for my 2 cars.. they did the same setup as in mine car..

allwin/loads sold the radiator cores separately too - I can speak of Karachi only, there were about a dozen or so shops who had them. These were not repair shops but only sold radiator cores.

btw - please do not use the osaka branded coolant - its nothing but food colouring in water. buy some toyota red coolant and change it every 3 or 4 years. You can also use ZIC green coolant in your car but its oldschool silicated coolant which requires change every year.

Do not use toyota pink or honda's blue coolant in your car as its heater and original radiator is made of brass/copper - those coolants will damage the joints on it.

the reason to shift to aluminium is to lower production cost of the car, the other factor is that almost any car that is "redesigned' with an aluminium radiator has a larger radiator to "make up" for the efficiency loss. You simply replaced a copper radiator with an aluminium one of the same size.

so just for service of condenser you got to open it and dispersed all the gas. thats the blunder he has done. but still he has thugged you. because i know gas rates exactly
