New System Installed ( Comments / Advice Welcome )

Hello All,

Just got myself a 2003 Vti Prosmetic and planning a system for it. I am a Huge Polk Audio Fan and this is the system i came up with for now. Comments and advice as i mentioned are welcome. Please be nice and not too harsh

1. Head Unit : Pioneer DEH-P6900UB

2. Amps : C500.1 Monoblock ( for subs ) & C300.2 (2/1 Channels) ( for speakers )

3. Subs : Polk Audio db212-2 ( Imported Double Bass tube )

The total system cost is about 1 lac 35k. What do you guys think ?

the bass tube with the 2 12" subs was 27k

any1 knows how good isa kicker es-124???im about 2 buy 1 but dont know how good is it,can it b compared with a pioneer ts-w305e?any sugstions which 1 should i go for??

Why are you using 4 6x9's ??? And jus a 2 channel amplifier ?

No components either

N is it me or is that monoblock not really taht strong to drive those two subs reallllllly loud ?

I am probably going to add components but im streched for budget right now :/..

I can change the 2 channel amp to the polk audio 4 channel if you think that is better . let me know .. i can return and exchange any of this stuff ..

I read reviews online of the monoblock running the Subs .. and apparently it does a very very kickasss job .. we shall find out soon enough ..

The Subs are Super Sexy .. .. those are what got me going lol .. saw them lying there and i was like OMFG i want those ..

those mmc690 uses external crossovers, so they r effectively as usuable as components.

those subs at 105db sensitivity will reach ear spliting loudness with just 100watts,

its just u i guess. 350 clean watts is hell lot, look at the power input, it has lots of gutts, can burn the alternator.

dude go for the 4ch polk, 100w x 4 for the mmc690
costs same as ur current 220w x 2.

can u post individual prices of every component, or and some quality available there:)

I get the same pricing as the polk audio website the pre was 12500 ..

You are spending 1.35 lakhs on just ur sound system and u r out of budget. Thats something i heard for the first time.

I have the Pioneer DEH-P6900UB head unit in my car -- it works great and sounds fantastic.

Only one complaint I have is that if you choose a song on the USB or iPod via the deck's control, after you select the song and you decide you want to change to a different song, the playlist starts showing the songs from the very beginning again. It doesn't remember where you had scrolled to in the playlist, so if you have a 4000 song playlist, you always have to scroll down again to where you were.

Other than that small thing, its an amazing deck!

Ohh...cool ! My cousin has 2 Kickers Subs in his Rav 4 and u cant sit in his car with 50% volume and read from a book. The book jumps up and down due to air vibrations !
