The Tata Indica eV2 in India starts from 4 lakhs and goes upto Rs 5 lakhs for the fully loaded variant. The various other variants of the Tata Indica eV2 are Indica eV2 L, Indica eV2 LE, Indica eV2 LS, Indica eV2 LX.

:)Seems ok for the price! The color is a bit bright. And the dashboard seems a bit plasticky. But for a car made within India, it seem fine!

Let's be realists for a moment, take a step back and let the bigger picture sink in -- Indian auto-sector is way ahead of its Pakistani competition, with a much higher percentage of indigenization in both cars and bikes, a higher number of born and bred Indian brands (Tata, Mahindra, Bajaj are some that come to my mind) to cater to the needs of the population, and a lot more industrialization. Even with the tall claims of high deletion levels of Indus, Atlas and PakSuzuki, most of the critical components (engines, transmission, ECUs to name a few) come from abroad (Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, China) as part of CKD/SKD kits. What our major auto-assemblers in Pakistan are essentially doing is stamping and welding various metal parts, painting and putting together everything for consumption.

We should look East and learn a thing or two from them. We need the Marutis, Bajajs, Tatas of Pakistan to jumpstart the auto revolution here. I can assure you that it would be a win-win situation for the masses.

this car Indica is officially dead with most private customers.this mode is succeeded by Vista.
Indica is 13 years old. it's golden years were till 2007 or so.
we are just a way too much over estimated economy...reality is, old models refuses to die.
this new version contains Tata's in-house R&D common rail diesel engine called dicor which earlier flopped due to costly spares. this is a revamped one back from the shelves catering taxi market especially metros where BS-IV emission pass is required to register new cars.

Aren't you going too fast mate!? Hold on for a sec. Who in the face of this earth did compare "THIS CAR" with the any of the cars in Pakistan? Or the Indian auto-sector with that of Pakistan's? If someone doesn't like it, he has the right to criticize. I might own a crappy thing, but no one can stop me from saying ugly or anything to even a Mercedes. That's what I feel. Relax , guys. This eV2 is old junk meant for the taxi trade and nothing else. The Vista below is what replaced the V2 series long time ago. Cheers!

I doubt the eV2's tall claim of 25kmpl. Anyways, this car is a fav among the taxi trade and will continue as long as the next generation Vista comes along and the current model take it's place as a taxi fleet mainstay. As i've mentioned in my "What's New..." thread , "over the hill" car models continue to be made as there's a huge market among taxi fleet operators. That's all there is to it.
