@cooltahir, By sidewall issue, if I m nt wrong, refers to the 'Cracks' or 'tear' in the area of the tires around the rim(the non-rubber wheel), which we call 'sidewall'. If your car's sidewall shows cracks or tear, it means that they are no longer safe and they might burst in certain conditions. My aunt got Dunlop Sp sports 490 on her Mehran, as I had already read about the sidewall issue with these tires, I looked these tires carefully and found thin major 'cracks' on all the four tires. Further more, I even found that the 'letters' written on the tires were dim, as if the rubber was not fresh any more. I remember that my aunt's Mehran was a 2007 model one, whereas the one we had with 'General' radial st tires(Factory fitted) was 2006 one, and I noticed that our tires didn't had a single major crack on it's sidewall. Further more, the tires were having their 'letters' in apparently perfect shape. This forced me to believe that my aunt's Mehran's tires were either 'fake' or 'old', and were probably 'smuggled' ones.
