Assalamoalaikum guys, yesterday i went to buy new tyres for my 1.3 MT honday city. It has its stock tyres presently that are in bad condition after 60K and need to replace them quickly. The shop i visited was khan tyres in blue area islamabad he told me that yokohama tyres are not coming these days so opt for continental. 12K something single tyre. Please let me know if you have some better suggestion for me?
Best regards!
Continental is a good option. Just make sure tyres are imported and not smuggled. Only Malaysian made tyres are imported under continental pakistan. Rest i.e. germany, france, romania, spain slovakia made are smuggled. Tyre point at metro is their certified retailer.
Thanks alot...
Same problem...the only other option available right now is pirelli p1 and Goodyear eaglesports....I found pirelli a bit hard...eaglesports are good...Continentals are garbage....
Continental has weak side wall.Go for eagle sports.
And increase tire size to 195/65R15 if u want better braking‚handling and stability.
Check discount tires in blue area.
Check JAPAN tyres Blue area i guess next shop to khan tyres Ask for Younis sb. (owner) he will recommend you some good tyres went there 2 days ago for mira 14" but eventually opted for chinese OVATION as car is for city use only (continental fresh tyres was available there as they are authorized distributors) i'm his regular customer from 2016 and AlhamdoLillah not even single time he disappoints me.you may give him my reference if needed Say Muaaz from RawalLake white mira(who waited around 2hrs as light was off )
Dear, Yokohama are available at Tyrepoint (online) or at Metro store. You can get from there.
IMO, for Honda City 5th gen. here, 185/65/R15 is a very moderate, reasonable and balanced tyre size.
195/65/R15 seems sightly unreasonable.
Ok dear.
Called Tanveer sb at Tyre Point he said Yokohama 185 size available. Going for it. I hope these are genuine tyres.
I have only heard praises about continental cc6. You had bad experience with them? As i am going to change my tyres with conti's next week, looking forward to your thoughts on em
I had cc5 installed...the comfort of tyres was not that great and road grip was mediocre....I hope they have rectified it in cc6....if you want the softest tyres in the market nothing beats Yokohama....but a word of caution...they wear out really quickly....if you drive a lot you will have to change them after an year....that is how short their life is....I purchased pirelli cintrauto p1 Verde today as the shopkeeper has convinced me that they will last longer than yokos....so I am trying them right now...
This is what has been left of my yokos after an year and 40000km....
Rest assured; from Tyre Point at Metro Outlets, it is guaranteed that the product will be 100% authentic, original and non-smuggled.
Instead of CC6, I would suggest to opt for UC6, subject to availability in the size which you require.

And not only Yokohama wear out fast, but they are also prone to damages and punctures due to being soft.
Pirelli would indeed prove to be a good decision. IN SHA ALLAH.
To me, they seem fine and have some tread left, and can work for some thousands Kms.
Tread wear indicators (TWIs) also seem not exposed yet, as per this pic.
Yes but they are close...the distance between indicators and tyre thread seems quite low...I have heard that once it touches the indicators the tyre can become dangerous....
