New vehicle registration, Islamabad, shows ‘not applied for smart card’

I applied for registration for my new car via an agent at Islamabad ETO.

Got the number plates on the same day, went for physical inspection the next day.

When I check the status of my smart card on Islamabad ETO website, it says that my registration is in process but I have not applied for smart card, see attached screenshot.

The agent says that I should ignore this statement and smart card delivery can take 3 months as they will have to verify my car’s document from the manufacturer, it is a Hyundai Elantra.

Am I missing something on my registration process, thus the statement of ‘not applied for smart card’ or should I ignore the statement?

i think you should ignore and wait for it. these "sarkari website" messages are often quite misleading and confusing.. in the upper portion it says reg / smart car "in process" and underneath "not applied for smart card"

i didn't even bother to check for this to be honest, received my smart card after one and a half or two months via mail (lahore regsitered)

I bought used certified Alto from Suzuki Rawalpindi in November 2023, they also process the car registration.

I asked them to give complete file with the registration card , but they told me now a days ONLY registration card is enough??

I am asking them to give original Suzuki invoice and also verification letter with card.

Is this true ? i have pay extra to get complete file docs ?

Years later, still running into the same notification when registering a new car. Was there an issue or did you get the smart card later on?
