That's too much! Women On Wheels scheme could have offered scooter style bikes to women but at these prices it is not possible. Riding a bike is difficult for women in our society owing to awkward riding position. A scooter style is better for women in shalwar kamiz, bhurka etc.

Sir ji I c0ntacted vespa international and came to know that they have no dealer in Pakistan and don’t plan to bring these scooters to Pakistan.so these scooters that they are bringing are no way Italian made .i am myself big disappointed .

I have no experience in driving a manual, clutch system Bike. I'd like the first bike to be atleast semi-auto.

I'm also on a tight budget so i'll need a reasonably priced scooty.

Abhi tak to meri nazar se yahi super power Scooty 70 cc ki hi guzari ha bro but I have never tried it so I cannot comment how it will be but it seems to fit your limited budget .but normally I have also seen these small companies not bringing proper spare parts or qualified mechanics to maintain your product . So if god forbid something is wrong with your scooty .the problem will remain there .

Okay so after getting proper confirmation from vespa international .today I have booked my vespa scooter from xtreme motorsports lahore for partial payment of 50,000 rupees . Arrival of scooters is on 6 March . Keeping my fingers crossed .

Besides, who told you that Vespas are cheap, brother? They ARE NOT cheap. Far from it, in fact. Vespa used to be a affordable brand that used to make dependable and reliable scooters but now...

Yep . In Pakistan they are bringing vespa primavera 150 cc for 3 lakh which I think is pretty reasonably priced considering it is 5,000 $ in USA .

you need to know a few things before speaking alot of stuff without even stopping to think for a while...

1. There's NOTHING wrong with wanting cheaper, more better quality options in any product market, be it scooters or ANYTHING else, if anything, its the right thing to do in a market as biased and as unfair as Pakistan

2. not EVERYONE is filthy rich or loaded with cash like you are, it's only natural to want value for money. pretty sure a 3 lac scooter is a poor example of value for money, made in china OR made in Italy does NOT matter

3. Do you think vespas will succeed in Pakistan? this is a place where good quality but cheaper chinese mobiles are viewed with suspicion. Good luck selling vespas for $3k. IF Piaggio are sensbile, they will look for feasible and cheaper alternatives to introduce in Pakistan

4. there is nothing political about my statement. the govt should be doing everything they can to help people like student and young professionals get across the city in time. a deplorable public transport system means ALOT of people have trouble making it to work/classes on time. Cheap scooters, would be a sensible and less polluting option compared to the kamikaze motorcycles. If not vespa, then some other brand should be afforded the initiative and support by the govt. nothing wrong with that

Again, going back the the mobile paradigm, do you know how MTK ousted Qualcomm in 2014-15, after being under the shadows for so so long ? well, they persisted by serving the BUDGET SEGMENT FIRST. After Qualcomms failure to guarantee solutions against the heating vulnerabilities of SD 810, MTK smelled blood and capitalized. the MT6752 was a roaring success that year. Point to note is that you have to look out for the budget sector too. IF vespa WERE an affordable brand then THATS where their roots lie, they have gotten lofty mindsets but if they want to stay around, they will come back to serve the budget sector or face the same repercussions are Qualcomm in 2014/15

6. In the case of the Land Cruiser. you are making a HORRIBLE mistake by comparing $6000 to 600,000 thousand PKR. the standard of living is COMPLETELY different in US and PK. It's not just you. Vespa are making the EXACT same mistake as well and they will realize it when their scooters won't sell here...

I'm just an average bloke with an average job, average house, average car and a below average motorcycle (A 17 year old Yamaha 90cc 2-Stroke!).

I doubt Vespa will succeed with that sort of pricing. To be competitive they've to manufacture locally!

A kick in common man's stomach? I don't think Vespas are our bread and butter i.e دال روٹی if we are being 'desi'! And besides, no one is obligated to buy a Vespa. It's not a kick.

Yup, I know about Mediatek and it's 'super hit' MT6582 that's found in almost 90% of Qmobile and other similar brands. But...
The only reason it's famous is because of its cheap price-tag. Look closely and you won't find anything even remotely impressive by 2018 standards. A low-clocked 32-Bit Cortex-A7, 400Mhz RAM, a GPU with sub 5 gFlops and you're looking at an antiquated SoC.
But I understand your point. People don't care about performance or luxuries when they're on a budget and
