you know what makes me thinking?. the fact that there is no new product in the pipeline(in the normal world, prototypes and newsleaks are the norm to get people interested) and no official clarity from PakSuzuki direct. Very similar to when Adam Motor finally copped out. Lots of denial, murky silence and then kapisch.Hopefully, it will be an upgrade of the existing line and not like i'm describing. The murkiness gives rise to unnecessary speculation, is what i'm saying.

so its confirm machines going to be efi but about new body design is still question mark

The rumour in 2006 was

a) Swift coming out, But ended up with a EFi cultus and Swift came out in 2010.

b) Suzuki discontinue mehran with a 800cc Efi Alto, Its been 6 years now, so i doubt it.

c) Bolan/Ravi being replaced with 800cc Efi EveryVan

d) Mehran carby, 800cc Efi Alto and something like that.

But the matter of fact is that, at that time euroII was being implemented and got delayed. But its said that from June-July 2012 Pakistani auto industry is bound to omit carby cars.

But Ravi is still avalible according to the list posted.

Well this post seems to be right and true for at-least now, as they have stopped producing the cars and are not booking at all.

I called suzuki sethi motors and asked about alto and mehran just for information and they said the same thing which is written above.

my humble request guys...please stop speculating. SX4 or Kizashi is not coming.

The discontinuation is simply because of the government's ban on CNG kit imports last December. For those cars whose CNG kit stock has finished Paksuzuki has discontinued them, others such as Liana CNG will also be discontinued with time.

The Government of Pakistan's EURO II initial adoption deadline was in 2008 which has been constantly delayed (for obvious reasons) and emissions standards were never adopted. The news of July 2012 deadline might also be simply another stunt by the government, it's likely that they might cancel implementation of emission standards again.

I don't really see any point in implementing EURO 2 in 2012 when countries all over the world, including developing countries, have already starting implementing EURO 5. (Euro 2 standards were introduced in the late 1990s anyway)

Pak Suzuki stops booking for CNG versions of Mehran, Alto and Bolan

         Suzuki had to stop booking of CNG versions of Mehran,  Alto and Bolan while Indus Motors did not say that it will stop taking  orders of their CNG versions of Coure and Corolla due to the fact that  Pak Suzuki has an inventory system based on JIT (Just in time) while the  rest stock inventories for as long as three months.  An official of the  company said that the decision was taken on Feb 11 after finishing  available stocks. The company enjoys over 50 per cent market share in  total vehicle sale in Pakistan.

For all those confused, I guess Suspended means 'stopped production for an indefinite period' and Discontinued means 'Stopped production'.

Btw - looking at the current scenario, if this goes on I believe when mehran would be reintroduced its fully loaded model would contain a dashboard and speedometer while the base models would only have the steering wheel
