Nexen or Hankook for Vitz?

Hi Guyz,

I need your expert opinion on tiers for my Vitz 2004 model.
I can't seems to decide in between Hankook & Nexen.
I want to buy non steel wire tires and I am in lahore so pelase recomend the brand which is available here in lahore.

What do you think Nexen is better or Hankook or any other brand?
And whats the recommended tire size for Vitz 2004 ?

Ive used Nexen tires and also have just bought some nexen N7000 for my other car here, good tires for their money.

For me, the price they have asked for Nexen and Hankook is same.... so thats why I am more towards Hankook....but I want to buy non steel wired tires so I could run my car on lahore's bumpy roads without any worry...

I am using nexen SB702 (165/70-R12) in my khyber for the last two years. Driven about 40+ K kms on these in lahore, motorway and till Naran. No puncture yet. Bought them for Rs. 2850/tyre from metro (Lahore) in Nov 2009. They will be good for another 10K and after that i have replace them.

SB702 is polyester + steel tyre but is good in keeping shape and is also economical.

I also have hankook in the same size as above but as a spare , it is pretty much same as nexen like sidewall is polyester and thread is polyester (1) + Steel (2) and made in korea. they are also economical .

Prior to nexen i was using hankook pair in front. they were good but not better than nexen.

I have a very bad experience with Nexen tyres..they have ruined da whole suspension ov my car(Mehran)....
Although Nexen tyres seems to be very much attractive from their looks but they are hard whn comparing with other brands..
i vil suggest you to go for Yokohama or Dunlop as these tyres r purely made according to Pakistani Temperatures.

try driving in Houston - the temps are like Sibbi in the summer and the roads are made of roughened concrete with wood spacers. The road surface is literally like a sheet of sandpaper and eats tires. There is no way a tire can damage suspension parts unless its past its shelf life and rock hard now. Tyres older than 7 6 years from its date of manufacture are "scrap" no matter if they were never used.

But bro Houston is Houston & Pakistan is pakistan..In pakistan the cndition of the roads are so much bad which will effect your cars suspension(Bumpy roads..broken roads..roads under construction etc etc) so you must have soft tyres that reduce the Burden on your suspension..

^^ point to consider is that I used to live in Pakistan, I only moved to houston in 2010. Still tyres should be installed fresh and kept at proper psi pressure otherwise you will face serious problems.

using Nexen n'blue....

tried Non Japanese Tyre for the first time...i must say they didnt disappoint me...they r soft...noiseless till now...even after one year....no puncture yet....i feel a little less grip than Dunlops as the footprint is less than dunlops but plus point is fuel consumption got better n steering is lighter...no wobbling..i drive regularly upto 150km/h....gaining confidence...

i beleieve nexen is Korean brand

Nexen is Korean. It has become a lot expensive now so no point in choosing it over Yokohama or Dunlop. I am using Nankang (Taiwan) 165/70 R12 since 2011 and will use them again. Regards
