Next Gen 2021 (India) Suzuki Celerio Images Leaked(Now Launched)

Maruti-Suzuki the Indian division of Suzuki Motor will be the first to launch the next generation of the popular compact hatch Celerio. Launch is expected in weeks and so far all we know is that there will be a choice of two engines a 1.0 and 1.2 liter and a CNG option..Price is expected to be in the 4.5 to 6 lac range similar to the current Celerio , Wagon R etc. Pictures of new 2021 Celerio below courtesy of RUSHLANE.com. Patent images of this car were released earlier and actual car looks similar to those images. The new car is larger than the outgoing model in all dimensions.

if you can communicate with SITE managers of team-bhp.com forums, suggest them that they shall screen the new member registration from Pakistan (IP addresses) liberally.

Their question "which indian car is your favorite" in the online registration steps is highly biased, not only for Pakistan IP addresses joiners it is an annoyance for global audiences as well.

There are people who are keen to know Indian automotive scene from around the globe, ( like you are from India and respected member of this forum ) and such question for an online forum registration is clear sign 'stay away'.

I did communciated with mojamdar & deepak but they went quiet after realizing that am a Pakistani living elsewhere on planet.

Not better looking than the previous generation. Lazy design. Specs wise definitely will be improved.

Me, an Indian, have been trying to get a membership on team-bhp for sometime lol. Their membership registration process is way too complicated. Perhaps they want to maintain a quality, given the fact that India's social media scene (and perhaps the rest-of-the-world's too) is way too toxic. I have to admit though, I have never seen a discussion on team-bhp digress into political/religious sh**fest, which happens way too often in other Indian forums. But yes, their regional lock on memberships is absolutely unwarranted.

I am a member in that forum as i am a member here. I do know that it takes years even for locals to get their membership approved. I would suggest go with the flow. I know there are many Pakistani members and others from all over the globe just like in any internet forum. What i like about t-bhp is that though they allow discussions on social topics other than cars they absolutely do not tolerate religious posts/topics and bashing ethnicity/nationalities which cannot be said about PW even, which is a site that i am really fond of. Be patient and get in if you so wish. Best of luck!.

Till i see the new Celerio in the flesh i will keep fingers crossed and i tend to agree with couple of posts here . Doesn't impress me. But , usually initial images are distorted a bit on purpose for all new models. Let's see

Since we Pakistanis associate Celerio with Cultus /Swift we expect a little more out of it.

While Celerio is the official replacement for European Alto it is designed accordingly.

Keeping Alto in mind it looks okayish. Keeping Cultus/Swift in mind (a middle class family car) it looks way to funky/futuristic.

“Hideous” is what comes to mind, it is either the color or the aura of the images, may change my mind if I see it in person but as the cliché goes, i like the old one better!!!

I personally think that if you are not being welcomed anywhere, then simply leave it. There are so many other avenues to look for.

Without a doubt Team - bhp is an excellent place for auto enthusiasts but there are so many other online forums equally good or better than that.

Btw, this car is weaker looks wise but due to the price factor seems to be good value for money.

Update - 2nd generation Celerio

Official launch date in India and global markets is Nov 10 , 2021 However videos have surfaced online. I checked out the car at my Maruti-Suzuki dealer yard and it looks much better in the flesh. It is bigger in all dimensions than the previous Celerio, though i have not checked figures. Just felt that it looks more substantial in person. Next week i will post pics and more details. Price expected to be in the 4.5-6.0 lac range ex-showroom similar to the previous Celerio.
