Yes it is safe with family but recommended to avoid.

No. Dont take such risks. After 7 no public transport goes there. In the jungle there are cheetas. I was there yesterday infact. I would not recommend this.

With family camping is always not suitable.Not due to animals and dacoit But We are not mentally Satisfy in camping and Tour Arranged for mentally peace not for thinking whole night what happened next.

If you want to enjoy camping ask any hotel to arrange a camp in hotel's Garden.

We camped with females, December 2012 at Siri paye, Its safe. But what we can say about a bad day?

Good advises from other PWs but I have a slightly different point of view. I think after taking all security measures, there were two points at where one can camp with family.
One is just at paya beside the seasonal hotel
second one is at Paya-2 beside the local settlement. in this way one should make an informal connection with the inhabitants living in those huts. I myself will do a camp there with family at a leisure time IA.

there is no risk
but be aware that you must camp near hotel or public residence to avoid any danger
