Nissan AD 2007 - P2138 APP Fault

My Nissan AD 2007 starting acting little funny. The accelerator would not be smoothly working in speeds below 60Km/hr.

One day I was driving along and suddenly engine check light came on and accelerator stopped responding, but the car was running in idle. I turned off the engine and restarted and car worked fine after that.

Next day I got the car scanned and it showed the P2138 code for APP (Accelerator Pedal Position) sensor. The fault was reset and it didn't show in second scan. But still car not running smoothly under 60km/hr.

As I drive on long route, I try to keep my car in best possible condition to avoid being stranded on road where parts/mechanics are not available. Any idea where in Karachi can this issue be corrected? From the web search it seems I should get the APP sensor replaced as it is now acting up.

the ignition coil(s) are leaking current / TPS is faulty it has a electronic throttle

Coils have been checked and no issue there.

How about a faulty APP sensor? Can that cause it?

I had almost similar problem in my AD 2007. The solution is not very difficult, fortunately. U need to open the throttle body and physically check the throttle (also called butterfly by old mechanics). In my case, something stuck between the throttle. Just removed that and vehicle was ok again.

Update on my issue is that it was a faulty Accelerator Pedal Position sensor.
It was taken out and replaced with a new one. Have since driven up and down the country with zero problem.

Yeah it's a faulty Accelerator paddle sensor, a very common fault this car has... Replace the aps and everything will be perfect.
