Assalamualaikum Pakwheelers !
Bought a Nissan Bluebird Sylphy few days ago. Alhamdulilah. I wanted to understand this car by starting with a complete checkup using OBD scanners. I am seeking advice as to whether I should buy a scanner (I am not sure which ones are compatible with this car) or get it checked by a knowledgeable car mechanic (from ISB/RWP) who knows what he's getting into.
This also leads me to giving a suggestion to Pakwheels that they should introduce a service for car troubleshooting/error diagnostics by scanning and explaining the error codes. This will be much helpful for car owners and mechanics won't get a chance looting them.
The first few things that I noticed when I drove it was a vibrating gas/accelerator pedal (they're not OEM/Nissan's). I am also noticing an oil pressure warning light as well as SRS airbag indication won't even light up when ignition is switched on. I read the owner's manual and it says it should show up for at least 7 seconds and then disappear (for this is the confirmation it's operating normal).
P.S. I watched an old video on Pakwheels YT Channel where Sunil Munj explained how a Pakistani's life is worth less than Rs.20 (putting resistors in the airbag connection to dashboard). May ALLAH Give Hidayah to such people. Ameen.
I apologize for the wordy post as it was my first. I would like to gain more knowledge and share what's in mine as we go along this journey. In Sha ALLAH.
JazakALLAH Khair.
