If any one can suggest me from where to source engine and body parts for Nissan Cedric 1988 in Karachi

sir such vehicles arrived Pakistan by road soon after Kuwait & Iraq gulf war started. Pakistani expats fled kuwait iraq travelled by road to home towns in Pakistan over such station wagon and sedans.

hardly any working condition vehicle may be around anymore. you shall search in scrap yards for these vehicles punjab potohar belt areas of sialkot dina mirpur jhelum kharian mandi bahuddin gujrat gujranwala or in mardan noshehra. Almost 98% of such vehicles ended up butchered due to LHD variant. Only embassy auction vehicles may be RHD if there exist any in oem working condition

Sir Thank you for the kind response. Actually my father has two of these cars. Islamabad number RHD. One has good engine but a little body and paint work required along with headlamp and tail lamp replacement and suspension work also
2nd one is ok body wise but engine replacement/overhaul required due to high milage approx 278000.

If u may please suggest me good paint and suspension shop in karachi who really know the work and doesn't rely on jugars.

2 suspension & steering afzal autos mr afzaal in lines area near dhanwe masjed 0300 211 6069

magzine lane have several shops behind plaza automarket these shops repair the rear lamp color lenses if you have frame fittings available.

Yes, frames are ok. Only lenses are broken.

sir please take pictures of vehicles before work & after work and post in this thread. These are legend Japanese vehicles of golden era. it would be very interesting to witness restoration of such vehicles.

Sure sir. I will upload pictures of every moment. The 1st car with ok engine will most probably arrive today at karachi InshAllah by carraige service.

Its blue in color with blue interior. 2nd one is silver with brown interior

Alhamdolillah car arrived on last tuesday via carraige.

Delivery: one day late
Service: Below average.
All the switches (A/c, radio etc) were moved like some kid played with the car. Car battery was down/drained.
They demanded extra charges Rs. 1000 on account of delivery and labor which were not communicated at the time of booking.
Car was to be delivered on sohrab goth (agreed by them) but they delivered it at mauripur with silly excuse that drive was changed so they were unable to establish contact.

First thing first....

Change of engine oil and tuning.

20w 50 is being used. I guess plugs are getting oily. True picture will be disclosed by mechanic..

If any good mechanic for tuning is available near north karachi area..

a VG (V-6) engine trouble shooting to a common street side 'Specialist' ustaad will be a Pratt & Whitney F100 engine trouble shooting by motorbike mechanic.

if your vehicle is functional running better choice is as mentioned in post #4 Jameel Autos. he can perform compression test and get you an exact picture of engine condition.

do not use engine oil above 10W-40 best will be 5W-30, after compression test.

climate control & electricals can be fixed by any seasoned electrician whose birthday is before the vehicle model.

the rear screen sand blast etching of vehicle regn was phenomena of early 90's in Sindh. single alphabet & 4 digits.

One thing more. Please advice me for the paint job. Wether to get old paint completely removed till bare metal for a fresh paint or just get the current paint fixed with little sanding and new cote.

Front right fendr + left doors and left rear fenders have dents. Bonnet and roof is in very bad shape.

Tomorrow i will visit aisha manzil/ mukka chok for replacement of rear dholki/muffler

Front suspension checked by a nearby shop. Tie rod ball joints are in bad shape. Alot of play in both front wheels

for vehicle body job there is a workshop on right hand Alfa Motors next to bridge after landi-kotal when you are heading towards tahir villa - ayesha manzil from 5 Start chowrangi. It is a purpose built body workshop not a street side make shift gas bati compressor denter. let him inspect the vehicle inside out and see what he suggest. Negotiation of price, time frame and payment schedule is of utmost importance.

The owner name is mehboob am not sure if he is alive or not but his son masood is running the shop.

for suspension & steering jobs time tested guy is afzaal as mentioned in post #4 , he may be far from your place but time & travel to that place will not disappoint you.

Now time for practical with updates to keep this thread live. InshAllah next Saturday i will go to jameel Autoworks.

As promised the pictures of Engine Bay. Did a little bit cleaning. Alot of cleaning/detailing is needed

A lot if things disconnected

The advance retart wire is broken

Most of the vaccum pipes disconnected. Like auto choke etc.

RPM controller for a/c is broken

The carburettor

the engine bay need deep cleansing. without any diesel spray.
prepare lemon max 100 ml in 1000 ml of water and spray it over. wash with garden hose & blow dry it.

if you have time at hand use vehicle data from ID plate over firewall (as in chassis & engine number). Locate service manual read it carefully and suggest the mechanic how to address issues 1 by 1.

One step at a time and am sure vehicle can be restored to factory specs.

The vehicle engine from pictures shared above seems to be a VG30S not VG30E
