Hi there!

I really need to know a few things about a Nissan CEFIRO because I may be buying one. Are its parts easily available? I have heard that its parts are hard to find in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Is it better than a Toyota Mark X or is it just a normal car like a Toyota Corolla? I am talking about a 2006 Nissan CEFIRO 230JM V6 ROYAL LUXURY and a 2004-2007 Toyota Mark X. Can anyone please help me out. I really need to know about parts availability.

I am not sure about the latest cifero but I use to have a 1996 model cifero embassy auction.It was a 3.0 liter natural aspirated V-6.And believe you me its hell of a car.Probably the fastest saloon car in its class.I use to have cng in it as at that time CNG was easily available.And I touched 220 km/h on cng on Motorway...its comfortable, very impressive handling, chilling a/c..lots of trunk space..all necessary luxuries but heavy on fuel.. poor on resale .. but thats in Pakistan..In Saudi Arabia..and UAE it still poses a good resale markeet...

I have no idea about the newer version of cifero & its performance...The one i mentioned above use to give me 7-8 km/liter under soft foot..If race/sports mode was one..it use to do 4-5km/liter...i use to have mine on CNG & its gives 180-185km on full size cng cylinder...the newer version must be light on weight as it seems to be & 2300cc more advance engine..so it must give better economy as compare to her old models...but its very poor on resale & parts are difficult & expensive to find.....so i may sugeest that you also consider Toyota Mark-x or Camry...as i never had Mark x, niether Camry so no idea about their performances...but one thing is for sure..Nissan Cifero/Maxima /Altima....Toyota cant cant catch them in performance...but Toyota has Markeet dominance & strong resale...I use to have a Modified Cressida/Mark2..under the hud was a 2jz GTE (Twin Turbo)...sold it few months back..it was also a nice car in low budget

the 2000 starting shape of nissan cefiro (called nissan maxima) is the best one here in saudi arabia once it even got banned in 2002 due to its damn fast acceleration after that the acceleration settings were lowered and the same shape continued till 2008. i wanted to buy a 2004-2005 model but sadly due to pressure from my family had to go for a 4 cylinder camry. Its also very nice in acceleration 2400 cc engine auto transmission

Where are you located in Saudia? I am likely to come there.And I will be looking fwd for a good family car for myself over there.
Plz enlight some options.So far I find out few through net aga my budget of 15 to 20k SAR...Nissan Maxima 2000 onward..or Crown Victoria....or Chev Lumina.............keeping in view the current markeet of KSA which car you will suggest under this budget? plz also provide the reasons.....I am 38 , 3 kids..not at all into racing but needs good power under my foot...also throw some light reg used car maintenance in KSA? is it expensive? as my couzine living in Riyadh suggests me for an upmodel Toyota Yaris..I dont know why..might be due to upmodel..he himself drives a chev lumina model 2005...This will be my 1st time in KSA..so i am totaly new & have absolutely no idea reg KSA cars...thanks in advance

that maxima is one crazy car - it accelerates like its a drugged athelete - One issue is that it requires at least 93 RON fuel to run correctly.

Bhai toyota has resale in saudi like suzukin in Pakistan its a hard cash. So if u have no long term plans get a toyota and if u have long term plans than get any car and get it from an expatriate as locals have abused cars
If u get maintainance done from a dealership than its expensive but there are workshops like sultan ka koh in riyadh u just need to know riyadh pretty well to find that area its near ikea store

not to mention, they will be classic basket cases by now too, Nissan parts are not available in scrap (where all Pakistani cars are maintained from)
