Nissan dayz coolant

Aoa guys. My brother's Nissan dayz requires coolant top up. I don't want him to mix two types of coolants but he doesn't know the coolant type filled. One way is to flush the complete sys and pour in some coolant another way is to top up if any of you guys know what type and brand is poured in dayz. By default. Thanks members

Just empty out the coolant and use Caltex extended life coolant, it comes concentrated so you will need to dilute it with Distilled water / battery water.

Or you could just get the Toyota or Honda pre-diluted coolant if you want to spend a little extra.

Do make sure there isn't a leak or consumption of coolant if it is decreasing significantly over time.

Yup thats an option. If I get to know the type of coolant initially poured, that would be really helpful.

Its Ethylene glycol based that is used, any other member can confirm this. This is Dex-cool which is also used by honda and toyota

Just add distilled water. No need to add extra top up of new coolant. It will change coolant concentration.

Dex-cool? Is that a brand? The factory poured coolant in Hondas and Toyotas, is it available at auto part stores? Maybe could use that in dayz...

Its a specific type of coolant used by any brand that sells it.Just get the caltex extended life coolant concentrate and dilute it with distilled water (50:50). Otherwise the Honda and toyota one is more expensive and is pre-diluted.

I have used Caltex extended life coolant and it is good value for money.
